Alan would be an interesting casting choice, lol. Physically, most of these would work. I've seen the musical, and can confirm that Zach would be a good choice.

However, I just discovered that this 2014 film is going to be stop-motion animated...which kinda makes it a whole other ball game, because we've been voting on these options not as voice actors, but as regular onscreen actors. :/ As much as I LOVE animation, I really would ADORE another live-action one because of all the amazing talent choices available that would probably work best onscreen. But ah, well--we shall see what happens! ;-)

Alan is one amazing actor, one of my all-time beloved favorites, no question. <33 It would be insanely cool to see him in this role.
