What happened at the end of the first season of Black Butler?

I recently finished the first season of Black Butler and I found it very confusing. The Энджел dies, then Sebastian took Ciel to an island, and then in the last episode it was all the characters putting on a performance of Hamlet? I am really confused... If someone could take the time to clarify this it will be greatly appreciated.
