Okay, this club constantly makes me Вопрос my ideas of correct grammar, so I have to ask this question...

So, well informed and intelligent Аниме Фаны that Ты are, is it correct to refer to an an Аниме character as "an anime"? When I saw a while ago, I assumed some moron had made a grammatical error, but it's been happening WAY too much lately. So...is it correct?

Yeah I thought the same as you.
I am pretty sure it is not correct.

I guess when one person saw it, they started to use that term too. But it isn't correct. Аниме is referring to the Показать itself.

If Ты want to talk about the character, Ты say, "An Аниме character". XD

You're right. It's incorrect.
"An anime" would refer to the show, not the character. "An Аниме character" would, of course, refer to the character. I think it's just a Популярное sort of thing among some Аниме fans, I think...

Then it has been confirmed by two users that I consider intelligent. I will now proceed to tell off any users that use the term "an anime" to describe a character in any future question. :3 Yays! Thankees!

Actually the times I've seen the question,I assumed they meant a certain Аниме until I saw,not a character, well that is until I saw the answers, then again in the english language,it wouldn't make sense...,but I don't think it would be correct because "an anime" refers to the show, which is (as I сказал(-а) before),if they wanted to talk about a certain Аниме character then they should add "character" but I guess it's became Популярное among some Аниме fans.
