Well Ты see, the meaning of Japanese names changes depending on the kanji used. So for example "yuki" can be written 雪(snow) или 由希(reason, hope) as with Yuki Sohma in Fruits Basket. "ichigo" can be written 苺 as in клубника или 一護 as in the kanji for "one" and "protect."
And the possible combinations of kanji for a single name is pretty much endless.
