Is there a character that Ты consider to be "tragic" in the sense of their foolishness throughout their respected series?

I'm not sure if this is what Ты mean, but I think I understand. For me, Fai D. Flourite from Tsubasa Chronicle was like that in a way. He always acted so cheery and light-hearted, but had a tragic backstory and eventually fell into a painful depression after he had to go back to the place where it all happened. He played the comic relief so well in the show, but I found him to be the most tragic character.

Tobita Danzo/Jiraia from Gintama (Гинтама) is the first character I can think of

~Born to a country samurai in Iga and was a ninja prodigy. The samurai in Iga fought all год round and with a talented heir in line, their enemies attacked and killed his family and the only survivors were Jiraia and his young sister.

Feeling ashamed of the skills the kept him alive while everyone was dying and his sister that was being used as a hostage, he was forced to swear fealty to his enemies.

That gave birth to his twisted sense of devotion "Sacrifice oneself for the country" He sacrificed his sense of self to escape the hate, sorrow and shame of working for the people who exterminated his family. He abandoned his identity and carried every mission mechanically. However... his sister couldn't медведь seeing her older brother like that so she took her own life after telling her brother to live his own life, live freely for himself.... After all the pain... after everything he's done, he still couldn't protect his sister. A fact that haunted him everyday of his life.

He planned of never shouldering that burden again and yet he managed to do it again. He planned on never letting anyone carry his burden again, but he managed to do it again. and only at the end is when he realized that they could have arrived at a different answer to everything
