I never saw french anime, but comparing what i know from the american i can say that the japanese anime is way more creative, so i like it a lot better!! ;)

there isn't such thing as french or american anime, anime is japanese only they can have take offs but it's not real anime, american anime is also know as 'cartoons' and french i have no idea

Code Lyoko is the only French animation I know of but it is far more creative than any Japanese animation, that is a guarente unless you can find a Japanese animation that goes 3D for pretty much every episode.

I find it funny that everyone that says they never saw French animation never picked "I never saw French anime (you really should)". My question to you people is why? Code Lyoko was the most popular French anime in America as well as Britan. You people should watch the show, Kabillion did butcher it as bad as One Piece but the animation is the question. If ANY of you saw the Code Lyoko movie (there was only one) then you would be interested or even hooked onto the series. Yes, it ended at episode 95 but it had more work put into it than Dragon Ball Z!

Anime is short for animation, that is the name for moving drawings, so yes, ANIME is Jap but animation is all.

Cartoons and animation are basicly the same thing, doesn't matter for country, an ANIMATED SERIES is also refered to as a cartoon
