Near is the best detective he caught kira something L and Mello couldnt do

For me, L is definitely the best. After all, he took on a case that had stumped the entire police force and ICPO, at age 24!

I'd say Near. I didn't pick him because I am a major Near fan-girl.
I picked him because of his lack of emotion and smartness, he didn't trust Light and was able to find out that he was Kira.
L was to trusting of Light and didn't want to believe he was Kira, I love L and he is probably tied with Near.
Mello acted careless in a need to beat Near and died, he did get a Death Note though.
I love Case Closed, but Conan could not have caught Kira. XD

lol for one i would like to point out that while near is my favorite character in death note(he's so cute :3) he only caught kira with help from l. it was a hard choice for me between l and conan but i went with my favorite of the 2 :p

L is by far the best detective out of those characters, Near only caught Kira with L, Mello and Matts help.

L-sama! he's very smart~ he has very good skills he was right on it with Yagami-kun and the Kira Situation..well Conan/Shinichi-kun has amazing deduction skills so he would be second in my opinion..Near-kun needed Mello and Matt's..as well as clues from L-sama..Mouri-san is okay..esp. in the Class Reunion episodes it showed that Kogoro is capable..but he's just too silly at times..more like reckless and biased as well to not include Yoko as a suspect (even though she wasn't but still you can't rule anyone or anything out as a detective)..basically Mouri-san is a very good detective when Conan-kun uses his wrist watch stun gun on him and then uses his bow tie voice modulator to do his voice...oh and Hattori Heiji-kun from Detective Conan is a good Detective from Detective Conan also.

L! He is the smartest! :)
