Ever wonder how strong Ariel’s purse game would be? What would our favorite little mermaid carry around if she were on the streets today? With these questions in mind, we immediately dove under the sea to pick her essentials. Ariel is courageous, positive, and headstrong, meaning only the brightest and sunniest whozits, and whatzits galore would be fitting.

Ariel would have to haul around all of her gadgets and gizmos, which is why we chose a beautiful, oversized coral bag from Marc by Marc Jacobs. The human world is definitely warmer than below the sea level and Ariel will want to protect her fair skin with a floppy straw sun hat like this one from Forever 21, which can easily be folded up and stored in her bag.

With all that time spent at the beach, Ariel will absolutely need these ocean-inspired aviator shades from Madewell! No one rocks a red lip like this little mermaid, so it makes sense to think she would carry around this bright hydrating tinted lip balm by Benefit Cosmetics. A shell compact mirror from Zazzle is perfect for touch-ups and if Ariel gets too warm, she can mist her face with this refreshing Evian mineral water spray.

All of that long hair is not going to brush itself, which is why this brush from Drybar is the perfect size for tackling any on-the-go tangles. (Don’t you think Flounder would love the color?) Lastly, Ariel will want an extra little bag like this one from Paper Source that will hold her extra thingamabobs and keep her structured shoulder bag organized!
