I don't know, every single review I've read were bad reviews, and they all practically said the same thing: This movie is hard to follow, the dialogue is terrible, and the casting is a joke.

Frankly, after that, I am only going to see it to see how BAD it is.

Ok... so I saw this movie last night. And I really didn't like it. AT ALL. (This is spoilerish, so if you don't want to know anything don't read this.) I mean. He says all of their names wrong. That was the first thing that pissed me off. THEN he skip over the freaking middle. We don't even get to meet Suki or King Bumi. AND THEY ARE MAJOR CHARACTERS. Also the bending was all screwed up. Gah. The whole thing just irks me. So I will now go watch the show.

Just seen "The Last Airbender"...I came out of there depressed...None of the characters came through the actors. Since, I'm a big "Avatar: The Last Airbender" series fan, I expected too much. I wished I've never seen it in the first place, Shyalaman just ruined it for me. He calls himself a writer and a director, he should at least be creative with the beginning of the movie because it was a waste of film and a lot of stuff was left out which was important, for instance, the Kyoshi warriors, Jun and her mole, Bumi and the pirates who makes the series much interesting and Iroh misplacing his white lotus pi sho piece. Also, I don't mean to sound racists but the whole Fire Nation was east indian and I hated their outfits, they dated back to roman times or something, the dialogue, the characters spoke like they were back in shakspearian times. Again, if you are a die hard "Avatar: The Last Airbender", series fan, like I am, I wouldn't recommend seeing it, unless you want a good laugh because that's all I did though out the movie, it was a joke. If you are a Zutarian, don't hold your breathe because there wasn't a Zutara moment, if there was, I didn't feel it, like in the series...Oh, yea, Dev Patel sucked at Zuko because he didn't have the real Zuko's hot sexiness and he didn't have the cue like he's supposed to in the series and didn't have all the passion and anger like he's should in redeeming himself to his father the Fire Lord. Finally, if you love Iroh, like I do, the guy that played Iroh didn't make me laugh and entertain me with his singing, it didn't seem like he was enjoying his retirement from being general and there was no interacting with the crew, which shows his laid back, gentle persona. All in all, if you really want to see it, I would just rent or wait for it to air on some premium channel.
