I have a very hard time liking Korra. I find her to be stubborn, selfish, irrational, overly aggressive, pigheaded, immature, and obstinate. This Список of adjectives can keep going, but I digress.

When LOK started, I was somewhat excited for a female avatar; my feminist side was all for a powerful female lead that would lead the Аватар world to a time of peace. However, to my dismay, Korra was a strong and powerful character, but her other characteristics and personality flaws overthrew her potential as a character.

In Book 1, Korra basically does whatever the hell she wants because "she is the avatar," and this reasoning is what she repeatedly uses as her excuse to do as she pleases. For example, Korra destroys property and expects that the law can be bent for her because of her status. She uses this status and power to abuse the system. It's actually quite ridiculous. And naturally, this logic that Korra spews becomes the norm as Korra never has to suffer any consequences for her actions. Everyone who backs her (Tenzin, Lin, the Krew, etc.) blindly follows her and accepts whatever she does as if there were no other choices in the matter. Even if Tenzin and Lin think otherwise, their ideas are cast aside because Korra won't have any of it.
For example, Korra joins the pro bending team, despite Tenzin's wishes that she go back and train at the camp, или that she remain with him on Air Temple Island to master air bending (and air bending be her only focus). Korra cannot be bothered to learn the element, или at least she can't find the capacity for her to "focus" on the task. Korra is the opposite of Aang, which is great because this gives us diversity. The problem is that the writers made her so different from Aang, that Korra acts as if her position of Аватар is a nuisance. Korra can't be bothered to adhere to her responsibilities because еще exciting things that she wants to pursue come first. This brings me to my point of Korra irrationally putting her own desires first, rather than her responsibilities as the avatar. This is displayed on numerous occasions in the first book, especially with the Любовь треугольник nonsense. Mako is happily dating Asami, yet Korra can't be happy for her friend's new relationship. Rather, Korra immaturely mocks Asami, calls her prissy, etc. The sad part is that Korra's jealousy is so evident, and she doesn't seem to realize how childish she is acting.
Korra intentionally leads Bo on (knowing that she doesn't want to pursue that relationship) and then kisses Mako while she knows he is in a relationship with Asami. Korra selfishly put her Любовь drama first, and she did not care who she hurt in the process (Bo and Asami), because as long as Korra was happy, then nothing else mattered.
While all of this bullshit is going on, a HUGE problem is happening in Republic City. Nonbenders are being oppressed and they are trying to start a movement that actually focuses on why non benders are not happy with their current conditions. The non benders want to be treated equal.....now isn't that a first? And naturally, when Korra finally decides that "oh right, I'm the avatar...I should do something," Korra doesn't even try to understand what these people are going through. She doesn't try to hear out what their movement is или what their causes are. Korra obstinately refuses to listen and states that the non benders are oppressing themselves. Great avatar.....-_-
This saga continues until we finally hit the end of a rushed book that has so much going on that a good majority of us forgot the main point of it all. Korra brashly decides to go after Amon, and in the end when Amon EXPOSES HIMSELF (and later dies by the hands of his brother), Korra then takes credit for it, as if she was the one who exposed him and then defeated him. Yes Korra, Ты did everything by yourself. -__- And then of course, she Остаться в живых her bending (except air), and then magically Aang appears and restores her bending when she sheds a tear......all conveniently put on a блюдо for an Аватар that didn't work for it at all.

And then we get to Book 2 where the equalist movement is magically resolved, and a new problem arises with Spirits. Korra is preoccupied with her new bf, Mako, and during all of their scenes, they treat each other horribly: fighting, Korra blaming Mako for not supporting her because he didn't agree with how she is handling all of this spirit shit, Mako is irritated that Korra doesn't follow the lawful code of conduct he does (lol at Mako now being "moral" and "ethical" and "lawful" Kettle meet Black) etc. This at least for me was some poetic justice for the fact that things aren't always greener on the other side.
And Korra brashly follows her Болталка uncle's plans (yes, that uncle that she has just met and is shady AF), despite her dad and Tenzin being against all of it. And then Korra states that she's all mighty and powerful after defeating Amon and she now knows how to air bend/is a master (yes air punching is mastering). And then Korra gets attacked, loses her memory, yada yada......this all was done to improve her character, yet that shit didn't help. And then she comes back and then fights her uncle as she makes some of the dumbest decisions of her life. And then after Unalaq is defeated, Korra says she did it all by herself (yet Jinora did еще shit than Korra), and of course leaves the spirit portals open without really thinking through the repercussions (but this is a typical thing for her).

And now we have Book 3, where Korra is now worried about her approval rating and complaining about the effects of her decision (like this is why we should think things through). And then she gets angry at the President who is against her decision(s).....and she never even tried to hear this guy out. She was still pissed at their tiff from the past season (because he didn't jump on board with her plan, and wanted a peaceful, nonviolent, and diplomatic solution). Good grief.... -__- And of course, air benders appear which means that now Korra's half-ass decision is now justified because the convergence created a breed of new benders. A NEW ERA.....whoop-di-doo.

Korra still keeps her hostile and over the вверх aggressive behavior when trying to recruit benders -__- and then throughout this season we've had Korra making every little thing about her, her playing the woe is me tale with "everything is my fault" etc. The world revolves around Korra. I've seen some minor growth from her, and it is pitiful. We even have Korra mastering metal bending in a день which is beyond Mary-Suish.... I can't even заворачивать, обертывание my head around Book 3 trying to make up for the first two Книги of poor writing.

Point being, we have the same reoccurring theme throughout these books. We've got a self-centered, stubborn Аватар that immaturely and irrationally makes decisions based on her emotions and desires, rather than looking out for the good of the entire world. And even when some decisions she makes are good, they were made off of a whim, rather than her fully thinking things out thoroughly или even considering the repercussions of her actions.

Ok. So this is another opinion Статья I am typing. On my Reasons for hating Asami one there were so many mean comments. I really hope they are not on this one. Because this is not about hating a character. It's about my reasons why I like The Legend of Korra better than Аватар The Last Airbender.

All Reasons here

I have always like it better in shows, Книги или video games when the main character is a girl. I'm a female who likes it better when main characters are female. I don't hate Aang on Аватар The last airbender. I think he is a great character but I just liked main female...

The wind was blowing Korra's bedroom window as she was sleeping in her bed. There was a shadow of an equalist. Equalists were attacking her. She saw them and attacked them with her огонь bending. But one of the equalists tough her and she couldn't move. Amon came in her bedroom.

"After I take your bending away. Ты will be nothing" Amon said.

"Ah!" Korra yelled as she woke up. Naga went to her.

"It's ok Naga. I just had a bad dream" Korra сказал(-а) as she hugged Naga. Meanwhile Korra was walking around Republic City. She heard Amon on the ratio and she was scared of his voice. As she was walking. She...

For one, if Ты like Makorra, Mako, and Korra I would reccomend just clicking off this page unless Ты can respectfully handle my opinion. I'm not forcing Ты to read this, but if Ты chose to and get offended to yell at me because I warned Ты and Ты didn't listen. Anyhow I'm not typing this to be mean but to get my opinon out there.

Part 1: Makorrak

First of all I don't like Makorra because it reminds me of Zutara. I always hated Zutara (but that's another story). The fact that Makorra resembled Zutara was enough for me to distaste it before it even happened. But at that point I was willing...
