I adore IchiRuki, but Orihime does NOT deserve all the hate she gets. She's a very sweet (if somewhat weak) character. I just don't think she's Ichigo's type of girl, that's all.

That's fine if you dislike her..I dislike much about Rukia's character such as how bitchy she is for example but I don't hate her in the slightest...she is strong and noble and in my opinion a better match for Renji who isn't 134 years younger than her and doesn't act like an annoying little brother

The "fictional character" argument shouldn't be used as an excuse to be nasty. First off people would cici has a point there not real. secondly getting to the topic of this pick I don't like orihime, i actually go through fazes of hating her and she's okay. I hate all the character's that just magically got powers that they didn't work for, like ichigo's day of training and now can defeat godzen. Anyways Orihime is a character that you will find in every anime the herione of the series and not everyone likes this type of character and thats why we have the internet were we can experince are own free opinions.

I would just like to point out that I never once said people aren't allowed to hate Orihime. I simply said she doesn't deserve all the nastiness (which is my own opinion), and then people jumped on that. And THEN, in a futile effort to clear things up, I said everyone should be more civil and fair to each other. I don't know what I said that made people mad, but...well...I'm sorry for whatever it was.

And I do agree with you, rusty. It is annoying when the characters turn into Mary Sues/Gary Stus, lol...I think that just comes with the genre, though. And I totally understand why people dislike Orihime; she's a pretty big Mary Sue and very weak. I'll admit, she gets on my nerves sometimes. (Geez girl, quit crying "Kurosaki!!" over and over and DO SOMETHING!)

It's just frustrating to me because I do empathize with her a bit, and I think she had so much potential to develop into a truly wonderful character. But she hardly grew at all. And then she was ruined by bad writing. >__> I liked her a lot better in the beginning of Bleach.

Based on the evens in the Lust Arc, it's no wonder Orihime lost her popularity and so many people started to dislike her. Kubo seems to be going nowhere with her character development and unless he does something drastic in the last story arc, many people will remain unconvinced about her.

read the newest of the bleach manga she is much better now and if people dislike its because they think she is in the way of ichiruki which isnt is true because last time i checked ichigo and rukia were not a canon couple(canon couple are when the two people aready ended up together)
