What should I do?

A guy that I am in Любовь with(and he loves me) сказал(-а) that he would tell me what our relationship is. He сказал(-а) yesterday that he did not have an answer and then today he looked at me empty-like and said, "If I сказал(-а) I do not have an answer, then I will not pull one out of my hat." At that my сердце just... broke. I need your advice. I still Любовь him a lot, but.... what should I do?
