I think Xander. I actually think that by the end of Angel s5 Angel liked Spike in a twisted 'we bug the hell out of eachother' way. They had pretty unique things in common (both vamps with souls, both loved Buffy) and had a history together where they had at one point been friends.

i agree with everything about angel and spike! and i also agree that xander hated spike, A LOT, but giles tried to kill spike (now that i think of it, xander tried to too...i think think their hate for spike was pretty even).

Angel is the toppest guy who hated Spike the most. For hundreds of years Angel when he was Angelus his hated to have Spike in the Fang Four. Because even though Drusilla and Angelus were the two who that trained Spike to become the same rank vampire as they are.

When Spike was into killing Slayers. His obessions on slayers came on to Buffy. Trying to find a way to kill her and but once the chip that the Intitivate jacked in his head making him to have real feelings for Buffy. Angel was sensing that from Buffy that she was sleeping with Spike to feel again. After when the rape Angel found out from Willow and went to see Buffy himself that Spike has soul .

When Spike first appeared on Season 5 HELLO COMPETITION both vampires were competiting on who was the champion and the one true lover of Buffy's. Angel knows its him all the way. But its not because Angel doesn't admit that Buffy is in love with Spike

So yeah Angel is number 1 all the way for Hating Spike the most.

Angelus didn't hate having Spike in the fanged four. In fact it's been implied that they were once good friends. For example Angelus saying to spike in becoming 'good to have you watching my back again, like old times' and how happy Spike was when Angelus first returned. and by the end of Angel they were friends. They antagonised eachother but it was in more of an annoying little brother way than hatred. Look at the 'cavemen or astronauts' arguement. That's the kind of arguement you have with a friend, definetly not a hated enemy.

angel and angelus never wanted to show they liked spike but i think it was lkinda clear they had this big soft spot for him xander like him at parts as well but giles was always like weary and stuff towards spike!

You can't help but feel that deep down Angel had, at the very least, an affinity for Spike. Giles didn't like him but Xander hated him - purely because he was SO awesome and by comparison made Xander look lame - unbeknownest to Xander he was already crappy Spike just made it more obvious!

I think there's a big difference between the way Xander and Giles hate Spike and the way Angel hates Spike.

Both Xander and Giles have never really seen Spike for what he's worth...
they haven't seen his incredibly vile menacing side (sure, they've seen Spike do bad stuff but not like Angel has seen from him)...
and they've never acknowledged his incredibly caring and good side either.

Angel on the other hand, knows exactly what Spike is made of, the good as well as the bad... yet he still hates him.

I think Angel's hatred of Spike is very very pure, while Giles and Xander hate Spike in more of a petty way.


That's why I picked Angel.

This was hard, I was thinking between Angel or Xander but looking back there are times where they don't mind Spike much.. But Riley always hated him!

Giles tried to help Robin Wood to kill Spike with soul in S7.
