1) I respect your point about a country's right to self-govern, however when a nation's law infringes upon inalienable human rights, how CAN we just stand by. 2) "their practices [don't] affect me personally." Dare I quote Pastor Martin Niemoller's poem "First They Came"? It may not personally affect you, but if Ты don't speak out for the rights of others, who will speak out for you? This has nothing to do with whether или not Ты agree with или support homosexuality. It has to do with whether или not Ты agree with the fact that these people are human, and no matter what, deserve life. The only thing necessary for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. I know you're a good person. Don't do nothing.

*Ahem* OK, I looked it up. My knowledge of the UNDHR is a bit fuzzy, so here, from this Q&A about it: "Q: To whom does the Declaration [of Human Rights] apply? A: The Declaration is based on the "inherent dignity" of all people and affirms the equal rights of all men and women, in addition to their right to freedom. well then I guess the governement should be doing something about it, if it is an issue, still don't see how signitures would help since this should be taken care of by the UNDHR but Ты won me. Are the Ugandans doing what they are doing for relgious reasons?
