I was in the eleventh grade when I first read the fourth book : Breaking Dawn. Here I will express my opinion about it.

I liked actually the first parts of the book, they really got me interested and then when I read the other chapters of the book I got really, really bored and almost fell asleep. I think that it was very good that Bella finally became a vampire because it was time for her to overcome her fear and insecurities.
I wondered what would have happened if Bella had made an abortion and haven't дана birth to that spawn. It would be very interesting if that had happened. Actually I liked the book better than the film and I liked only the first part of the film because it was еще interesting and had some kind of storyline.
I personally regret having watched the секунда part of the film .

I don't like Twilight. I find the characters shallow; the plot boring and cliche; and the hidden messages frightening. But in the hands of another Автор - someone who wouldn't let their religious upbringing, their misogynistic views, and their twisted romantic ideals colour the story - it could have been really fantastic.

First off, the grammar would have to be fixed. The purple prose minimised and the в общем и целом, общая Письмо polished up.

Далее the characters would have to be made realistic, their actions have an effect on the plot, and their history an effect on them.

Take Rosalie, for example. If Rosalie's character had been a commentary on how a traumatic experience can effect you. How losing her humanity and perfect had turned her cold and горький because she had everything she ever wanted before it was all taken away from her. Instead Meyer created Rosalie because she needed a blonde сука to fill the role of someone to hate Bella. Rosalie's rape and tragic past had no effect on Rosalie as a character. Meyer used rape as a plot device and as another way to Показать how women are helpless and need to be saved by men.

Everything and Nothing-Boom Circuits
Lyrics:
One еще body left all alone[Jacob is left by Bella]
She's made another сердце her home[Bella choosing Edward]
Остаться в живых between the sea and the sky
An Энджел learning how to fly[i think this is how Bella is learning to adjust to her new vampire-self или Jacob learning to cope with the situation]

She floats above our bodies asleep in their graves
Dancing in the moonlight glow[i feel like this is Bella once Jacob is dead. Shes like dancing because she is content with her life?]

(I can't have her, save me from her)[repeated throughout song. Its like Jacob wants to get over her because he will never have her]

Our memories hide in vain hoping they can be saved
But she leaves the ones that won't let her go[the old memories of them want to be remembered]

I always hear her voice when she calls[Jacob would still do anything for her?]

I am totally ignoring Breaking Dawn in this because Stephenie Meyer broke all the rules in there. [Vampires cant have children, they have no body fluids, etc etc]
Reasons i think Jacob is better for Bella than Edward is:
1. Edward/Bellas relationship is based on appearance. She is constantly talking about how good he looks, how velvety his voice is, how graceful he is, etc. She сказал(-а) Jacob was beautiful once или twice and called his new muscles impressive once или that she is jealous of his tan skin. She thinks Edward is too good for her because she looks plain Далее to him. She thinks Jacob is too good of a person for her.
"[About Edward] the contrast between us was painful. He looked like a god. I looked average, even for a human."-Page 65 New Moon
"[About becoming a vampire] I hoped I would be as strong, fast and most of all beatiful, someone who could stand Далее to Edward and feel like she belonged there." -Page 344 Eclipse

I’ve read many lists pointing out Twilight “Plot Holes”, but еще often than not, the lists aren’t very valid at all. Half of them are usually just complaints, pointing out something they don’t like about Twilight (Example:” Why would Вампиры go to high school?”, или “Why does Bella have so many friends?”). The rest are just factually incorrect, или can be logically theorized. These are usually followed by “Stephenie Meyer obviously ditched history class”, или “Hasn’t Stephenie ever heard of logic?”, или my personal favorite, “I would know, I had a lesson about it in high school.” I don’t really like introductions, so I’ll just get started.

(I’m not saying there are no plot holes in Twilight, but there aren’t as many as so many claim).

1.    Rosalie managed to stay wealthy during the Great Depression because her father was a banker. Basic history tells us that all the banks failed.
Sorry, but wrong.
First off, I want to start by saying that it was never stated that the Hales were well off during the Great Depression because her father worked at a bank. Many put far too...

Many people bash Популярное Фильмы because "It didn't measure up in the exact way they thought it would.

And accept Фильмы the way they come.

As a one time Автор of a book called Elfin Magic (become a Фан of it:link)

I think i can speak for all(or at least most)authors when I say It's FINE!!! If someone offers Ты a direct line to the Фильмы and the Автор refuses because the director says some plans that differentiate from the book and someone refuses then they are just stupid!!!

Miner changes and summarizing some parts of your book in order to make it into a movie is needed in the real world! If they kept every single movie the exact way the book was created then all we'd have on our hands would be Mini Series! Besides some parts of Фильмы that they have changed turn out better.(e.g the part where Edward Cullen confesses to Bella Swan-you must admit doing that scene in a maze-like forest instead of a car,for a movie, was better.More...

Dear Ms. Meyer,

Hi. I’m Tria. It’s nice to meet you. As Ты have probably guessed, I am Письмо to Ты concerning your series known as “The Twilight Saga.” If you’ll forgive me for being rude, I’d like to be blunt.

Ты fail.

Again, apologies for my rudeness. If you’ll allow me, I’m going to back up this assumption of your literary failure.

Let’s start with the plots, looking at each book individually, and then the Книги as a whole.
Twilight: Barely has a plot. The book is 300 или so pages of nothing happening besides mooning on about Edward and his eyes. Then Ты throw in three Болталка villains, put Bella in danger, and have Edward save the day. Some plot development might have been nice, but no, there is none.
New Moon: Same thing. 300 pages of nothing happening besides zombie-Bella before she has to run and “save” Edward (we’ll get to this later). Again, NO plot development.
Eclipse: Ты finally learn how to develop a plot, leaving hints about the developing newborn vampire army. But between сказал(-а) hints…nothing happens! Oh, and I’m glad Ты finally realized that subplots are needed in a...

This is under 'opinion' so please don't send any hate, it's just a though I had.

I have read various explainations both on this site and others about things antis point out as plot holes. (Ex: Renessme, Imprinting, Vampire Transformation, ect.) And I think that it's great that some people do think it through and don't just take it because it is what was written. What I don't understand is why Ты should have too.

In my mind, when an Автор creates a story with a new или different breed of creature they should explain it atleast to some degree.

I'm not saying she needs to explain every little thing, but could she explain it as simply as she could if she didn't want to bore people with details? Now, maybe she did and I just don't remeber, it has been a long time since I read them. But from what I remember in Breaking Dawn she refrences an incubus, creating the oxymoron virgin incubus.

Here is the dictionary definition of incubus:

There are some core things about the mythical creatures I wish Meyer would have дана an actual explaination for:

Vampires

1. Turning into bats

She could have explained it as bats are attracted to vampires, but she choose not to adress it at all.

2. Sleeping in a coffin

How about that having something to do with them faking their own death или something?

3. Lack of Fangs

An evolution over time to adapt.

4. Sunlight

Related to the fact Вампиры are considered to be connected to the devil.

Werewolves

1. Full-Moon

They meet at the full-moon.

2. Their Anger Issues (yes, I know that some of the Волки have this)

It could have been explained as a reaction to the moons phases.

3. Pack- Mind

Evolved trait или even a gift from the spirits.

It's called "Daughter of Darkness" by V.C. Andrews.

This book was just aweful. It's about a 17 год old vampire girl named Lorelie Patio (Mary Sue alert!) whos only purpose in life is to be her Daddy's sex slave. This book is filled with shallow evaluations of beauty, anti feminism, poor morals, and disgusting turn of events.

Lorelie has three sisters who are manipulated and emotionally abused by their father. The worst thing about it is that it's never seen as a bad thing. It's disguised as fatherly love. None of the characters recognize the manipulation или abuse. Ты have to read between the lines to pick up on it. It's almost identical to Twilight here, but at least Bella snapped back at Edward a couple times. Lorelie's father kills her boyfriend and she says "Oh, he's just protecting me because he loves me." She doesn't even get upset.

Literally every other page we're told how beautiful Lorelei is, and half the time it's Lorelie looking in a mirror thinking about how beautiful she is, then she starts complaining that her beauty is a curse because it makes too many boys notice her. Her beauty is so horrible that her teachers even lust after...

People making claims about Twilight is really beginning to grate on my nerves D; Not statments of opinion; the kind of claims I'm talking about don't begin with "I think". They are claims, stated as fact.

An example of a statement of opinion might be "I think Twilight is awful". An example of a claim might be "Twilight is awful". Or, conversely "I think Twilight is perfect/Twilight is perfect".

The problem with these kinds of claims is that they are completely subjective. Ты can't make an objective claim like "Twilight is awful/perfect" based on opinion, it doesn't make sense :(

So the amendment I propose is simple: begin statements of opinion with "I think", или whatever variation on this is appropriate (if any). Is that fair enough? :) I know many of Ты already do this, but just as a reminder to the few who don't.

LOL. Revamped. Get it? 'Cause like, Twilight has Вампиры and stuff... [/lame]

Okay, the Momcat has FINALLY gotten off her fat, lazy butt and done some much-needed work on some of the rules for our spot. When the spot first got started, it was fairly small and having wiggle-room wasn't such a problem; so my first batch of rules weren't all that specific. But our CAT has had many, many new Котята since then, and consequently, things have gotten crazier and messier. A lot of people have gotten confused about what this place is for, and what we're about. The CAT isn't what it used to be.

So hopefully, these revamped rules will be a first step in "trimming the claws", cleaning up our spot, and promoting friendly, intelligent discussion once again.

1: Bring a good sense of humor. Don’t ever take things personally, and try not to be too sensitive. Otherwise you’ll be miserable. Just let loose, have fun, and be willing to laugh.

After Чтение the post "Bella as a heroine should be illegal" by bendaimmortal, it got me thinking. Obviously, no-one would consider Bella лебедь a heroine. If Ты do, Ты have got a really great deal of imagination, или a warped sense of the world. Because, and I'm sure most Twilight Фаны would agree, the girl didn't do anything at all. Save being overly dramatic and being the damsel in distress.

What about the Cullens then? What about Carlisle, Alice, Esme, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett? What about He-Who-Sparkles-In-Broad-Daylight? Would they be considered heroes/heroines?

No.

I say that the Cullens aren't Герои или heroines because they are just so pathetic and lousy as heroes. They can't strategize at all and despite their many gifts, the villains get them all the time.

The Cullens aren't good Герои also because of their double standard. They claim to care for humans, but they don't. Sometimes, I think they have Остаться в живых focus and direction. Carlisle doesn't want to eat humans because he cares for them. That's very noble. But his children's actions have put humans in danger and they have come to see Carlisle's cause as...

I'm just sayin' Bella is one of the worst role Модели ever when it comes to love, sex and life choices and should not have allowed to be published in any shape или form. I mean, when she's made the heroine of the story and marketted at teenage girls.

1. She's obsessively in Любовь with a control freak stalker.

Unfortunately it seems the vast majority of the Twilight fangirls are too with the very same freak.

2. She wants him so bad that she'll abandone everyone else she loves so that she could be with him. Even when it means she'll practically have to become a blood-drinking corpse.

(The movie 'Eclipse' does include a lengthy graduation speach about making mistakes being a healthy part of young life but Bella's choice is not a mistake. It's the most morbid and most selfish suicide I can imagine.)

I've heard 9 years old little Фан girls call Edward god. I don't know if that's scary and worrying или should it be dismissed as a childish face that will blow over.

I found this online. It's a real conversation a bookstore employee apparently had with a Twilight fan. It didn't happen to me. I found it funny, thought Ты guys might too.

(A customer in her late teens approaches me in the bookstore.)
Customer: “Hey, do Ты guys sell the Twilight books?”

Customer: “Have Ты read them?”
Me: “Yes, I have.”
Customer: “Didn’t Ты just Любовь them?!”
Me: “Well, actually, they aren’t really my type of book, so–”
Customer: *suddenly furious* “Are Ты f***ing serious?! These are the best Книги ever written! I’m going to tell Edward to come and bite Ты and drink all your blood!”
Me: *backing away* “Have a nice day, ma’am…”

How do Ты irritate Edward Cullen?

Why can't Edward read Bella's mind?

OK, I know Ты guys are thinking: "What?! How dare you! Bella and Edward's Любовь is the best and most romantic Любовь of all times!111Elevntyone!!!1" And then, you're going to say I'm just some guy who hasn't read the books. I'm not. I'm a teenage girl, and I have read all the books. Even Bree Tanner and that bit of Midnight Sun on Meyer's website.

I'll just discuss the reasons why it's not true love.

Physical Attraction
...And еще of it.
Picture this. Our great female lead is in an average high-school cafetaria, surrounded by average, high school kids. It's noisy and loud, and she wishes she was some place else. Enter male lead. She gazes at him. Her сердце pounds, her eyes melt, and her breath quickens. He's so gorgeous, so handsome, the Любовь child of Aphrodite and Apollo, the reincarnation of Adonis, a living, breathing form of Michangelo's David. This was it. Her salvation from the normal, boring people in that normal, boring school! He looks up, right at her, and her breath gets caught in her throat. Then, he gives her a ferocious, death glare.

when i first read twilight, i loved it. i loved all of the books. the first mocie was good but i dont like the others at all (this is my opinion, sorry if Ты dont agree). i even wished people were еще like the characters in the books.

the important thing to remember is that these Книги are meant for entertainment. do not take ideas или Совет from this book. Ты dont realize it, but at least 2 types of abuse happen in this book. edward is considered controlling and a stalker. jake is considered a sexual abuser and a petaphile. bella is considered a klutz, idiot, and a needy person. these Книги were written to tell a story of unconventioal Любовь and the obstacles along the way. if Ты look at any book Ты will find something wrong (abuse, drugs), but people focus on this book because of it's popularity. most of the young adult Книги i read have one или еще of the same things, but that is not important because my Книги arent as famous. no book is perfect. unless Ты can write a book that everyone on the whole entire planet likes, i dont feel like Ты have a right to judge. if Ты feel like Ты can do better, go for it. i tried and failed in the same week...

In The Twilight Saga, 'la tua cantante' seems very little explained, and, personally, I'm not going to wait for SMeyer to answer the Вопрос herself and dilute the whole phenomenon with her signature 'SMeyer Science'.
Disclaimer:
This theory is the speculation of an untrained, inexpert child; I may be incorrect, I may not be. The purpose of this Статья is to broaden the field for speculation, intelligent discussion, или correction on the blood that sings.

Here Goes:

This doesn't require very much knowledge of the basic anatomy of blood; all Ты need to know is that it carries important stuff throughout the body, like nutrients, oxygen, hormones, etc. I'm pretty sure Bella's blood smells all wonderful to Edward based upon two factors: genetics and nutrients (or diet).

I'm not covering genetics here under the belief that SMeyer is a follower of Mormonism, which holds the same basic belief of creation as plenty of other faiths, now without getting into to much detail, this belief is that everyone is distantly related because there were only two people originally.

How Edward Got Bella Pregnant, Why it's Not Sexist, and Why Renesmee Does Not Suffer From Down Syndrome

Youknowit101/Cassie-1-2-3 collaboration.

I asked a Вопрос a bit назад asking what bothers Ты about Bella’s pregnancy. (in a different spot) We got some very interesting answers, thank you. We are now here to respond to the points made.

(Keep in mind that we did not consult anyone associated with the creation of the Twilight Series. We just used logic and text to make sense of everything.)

(I’m going to be using words like penis and orgasm, so if Ты haven’t had a certain talk with your parents yet, Ты probably shouldn’t read this)

First, we’ll address the science of it.

SPERM AND SEMEN
How does Edward have sperm and semen?

Blood is not used to produce sperm или semen in humans, but the blood the Вампиры ingest can help with the production of sperm and semen in vampires.

For those who like the basic vampire romance dynamic in Twilight but don’t necessarily like its execution, I highly recommend the Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In. I just rented this a few days назад and fell in Любовь with it. I think it’s one of my вверх films of all time. It has many elements that are similar to Twilight in terms of vampire romance, but it treats the subject much еще seriously and is a bit truer to the vampire characteristics traditional to the last fifty years of movie-making.

It’s about a boy named Oskar who’s bullied at school and is in a pretty bad place. He carries a нож around and dreams of being able to kill his tormentors. He falls in Любовь with a reserved girl named Eli, who secretly kills people to survive off their blood. The violent nature of the characters is never downplayed. In some ways, Eli exists as an embodiment of Oskar’s own dark side. A theme of the movie is that everyone can be antagonistic, but Eli can actually claim the moral high ground because she only kills to live and can feel bad afterward.

Analyzing the Twilight Phenomena

First off, I’d like to mention that I am not a psychologist. Everything Ты read is just my own analyzing and since I am interested in Psychology and Behaviorism I decided to make an Статья of what I think is the basic reason for Twilight’s enormous popularity. I hope Ты will enjoy it.

Recently I came across a post at the Форумы that сказал(-а) about Twilight: ” [it’s] a bit childish to say its a failure, because if it is, then why do so many people (And not just crazy teenage girls either) Любовь Twilight huh?”.

I have seen this argument countless of times before, and remember being shut up by it seven years назад when I was debating over the meaninglessness of World of Warcraft with my brother. I think his exact words were: “It has millions of Фаны around the world, how could they all be wrong?”

How indeed? Let’s leave WoW alone and start by analyzing what the Twilight phenomena is for a bit. We know that it has millions of fans, and most of them, или at least a very large part of them, are girls in their teens (although I could be wrong since I have yet to come across any statistics)....

1. In Twilight, the "romance" as they call it is just there from the beginning. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians (We'll call it PJO), the Percy-Annabeth relationship was apparent from the start, but built up until the Kiss in Battle of The Labryrinth and eventually their relationship began in The Last Olympian.
2. In Battle Of The Labryrinth, Percy ran into Greek mythology's equivilent to vampires: the empousai. These were ugly creatures who had flaming hair, one goat leg, one metal leg, fangs, were deadly poisonous, and usually disguised themselves as mean cheerleaders. In Twilight, the Cullen Вампиры don't come out into the sun или else they'll sparkle and disguise themselves as Эмо kids who hate themselves. PJO beats Twilight in the coolness of Вампиры department.
3. In PJO, some of the good guys actually died. I cried during The Last Olympian. In Twilight, only the bad guys died. Everything can't be happy-happy Дисней World ending!
4. PJO was actally well written. Rick Riordan had a lot of knowledge on Greek mythology, whereas Stephanie Meyer probably had to keep a thesaurus with her every time she made a sentence.

*I'll have mentions to actual Волколаки stories in here, so be ready for that

Even before Jacob and palls were called 'shapeshifters' (I'll get back to Ты on that, I am not letting go), we should have known they couldn't be. And here's why.

First off: the origin или werewolves.

In the год 60, 70 people started believing in werewolf lore. The oldest myth I know about this is Ancient Greek, Lycaon.

Lycaon invited the king-god Zeus to dinner, but he was unsure if it really was him, so he decided to serve Zeus human meat. Turns out, it was Zeus. And Zeus was ticked. So he killed Lycaon' 50 sons and turned him into a wolf.

Right there, that's the first account of a man turned wolf, in the antiquite! But Lyncus was doomed a волк for ever, no one-night-only deals или silvery fear.

In the 15 to 17 century in europe, that is where the Волколаки we know come in.

The first recorded Werewolf sighting took place around the countryside of German town Cologne and постель, кровати burg in 1591. An age-old pamphlet describes those shivering moments vividly. Few people cornered a large волк and set...

I ran into a post on Feministing, called "link". It asserts that New Moon problematically depicts Quileutes as naturally abusive because of the werewolf thing, which is racist against Native Americans. The post describes how domestic violence is a serious problem in Native American communities, and New Moon makes it seem like Native Americans are naturally abusive. I find the post heavily flawed, and offer this as my response.

Feministing blogger Ann Friedman's thesis is that New Moon portrays domestic violence in Native American peoples as inherent, in their DNA, and that it's problematic as a result. I disagree with this interpretation entirely. Her pieces of evidence to support her point include the fact that werewolf Sam Остаться в живых control and hurt Emily, and that lycanthropy is a genetic trait among the Quileute men. She goes on to say it's problematic to depict domestic violence as a genetic trait in Native Americans, citing various statistics of violence as relates to Native Americans, and she suggests that Native American men may be violent...
