Not to offend Twilight fans, but I have to say this: The idea of this woman being hailed as a strong woman makes me feel physically sick. She is as far from strong as a human can possibly be. They left out J.K Rowling but included someone whose entire book series is dedicated to giving up everything you are to be subserviant to a man. Calling her a strong woman is an insult to women! I am sincerely offended.

This is a comic I may have been interested in, but including her has destroyed it's credibility and turned it into a joke.

For some reason, I'm seeing her as the stupid fat character always making lame jokes... Every group has one! =P

MermaidTail-- it's a series of comics. Each one features a different woman, so the good news is that you won't see Stephenie with Princess Di or any of the other female heroines that have been featured.

Unfortunately, Female Force has a wide scope of who it considers to include in their comics.

Like the Hilton article says, it's "a broad examination of strong and influential women who are shaping modern history and culture."

Since the word "broad" is in the definition, you can see that it's a very vague statement. Apparently, in the Female Force world, "influential" always equals "strong."

For example (and this is personal opinion), one issue included Sarah Palin, who I didn't feel was particularly strong, or even all that influential-- just sensationalilzed by her being John McCain's running mate. I think republicans may have seen her as strong and influential, but I didn't.

link on Amazon includes all the women in politics (Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin and Caroline Kennedy).

Someone I consider a strong political figure whose rarely mentioned anymore is Madeleine Albright, or Eleanor Roosevelt, but I think the company doesn't think they're pretty enough to draw.

These comics are the opposite of what they claim to stand for, and have been long before Stephenie Meyer joined their ranks. If I ever became a "strong and influential woman", and they wanted to use me in a comic, I would flat out refuse.
