Don't know about Ты guys but I still can't see DE's scene as a -break up- as most people do... I just... I don't know but it doesn't feel like a break up. Maybe it's because Damon wasn't as harsh as he was with Charlotte. So I'm surprised at how much I loved the episode. Damon letting Elena go was beautiful, and I don't feel at all annoyed about it. Just think, if Damon and Elena stay together now, there's less chance of them being the endgame. I like Stefan (or I did), but his spoiled immaturity is showing. Damon never reacted the way Stefan is to losing Elena over 3 seasons. He didn't throw things, rip his рубашка & scream, "STELLLLLLAAAAAAA." He did the manful thing, stepped aside & supported Elena & Stefan. Stefan knows Elena's feelings for Damon are real. I know it hurts, but if he truly cared for them at all, he'd be happy for them - at least for Damon, who's had suck his entire undead life & pretty much been alone since 1912. I kind of like the idea that the only way to break the sire bond made from Любовь would be similar to the way to break a hybrid's sire bond. They had to have no reason to be grateful any еще and the equivalent to that would be Elena not *feeling* anything any more. I think that would be an awesome story to explore - Elena shutting off her humanity to destroy the sire bond and then struggling to get it back (only like an episode, maybe two before she's back but it would still be cool).
