They're brothers. They've gotten through it before, they can get through it again.

But, not gonna lie, even if I didn't think that, I'd rather have Damon/Elena romance than Stefan/Damon bromance.

They did not get through it before, if i'm mistaken, they were apart for a while and when stefan came back, damon soon came back after. They are always going to be brothers, but they need to redevelope that bond they once had and maintain it. Elena coming between the two, I really don't see how that will be possible. One of the main reasons why I could not ship delena. However, it's all a matter of opinion, but I prefer the brotherly bond.

I hate you for making this pick lol. Because his relationship with Stefan is VERY important to me. But if Damon was a good enough guy to step away from Elena, I would hope that Stefan would be man enough to do that as well if one day the situation is reversed.

Honestly? I don't care about Stefan/Damon bromance because Stefan has been a horrible brother to Damon.

The only way I can see Stefan redeming himself is if he lets Damon and Elena be together with his blessing. Damon gave up Elena for her happiness and true love has sacrifice so I hope he gets his girl in the end.

I think Stefan and Damon's bond has peeked. They will never be any closer than they are now and after everything they've been through, I'm sure they don't want to be. They don't NEED to be.

I care far more about Damon and Elena because it's such a forbidden love/relationship. I love how Elena can see through all of the bad things Damon has done; from manipulating Caroline to attacking Jeremy, she's STILL finding that she cares for him. It's unconditional. She sees the slightly nervous and naive boy from 1864 through his dark, emotionless exterior. It's incredible. And the fact Damon has regained his humanity through her, and is selfless enough to stand back and watch her love another... it's just heartbreaking.

Delena is far more important. Fact.

Stefan never admits his problems and when he does he ALWAYS tries to make Damon's problems overshadow his. He isn't modest, that's for sure. Damon knows what he's doing is wrong, WANTS to change and he NEVER makes out Stefan's worse than him. Also, if Damon is such a bad brother then why did he compel Elena to forget he said he loved her? If THAT isn't loyalty, I don't know what is because he did that for Stefan. Stefan would never do that for Damon.

Even if Stefan was responsible for Damon turning, this happened so long ago. The past is the past, he has to move on and deal with the situations thats going on now. Either way, Stefan's decision did not come from a bad place to change his brother and if Damon wants to blame someone for putting him in that position, it all still comes back to Katherine. Damon does the same to Stefan, of making him feel inadequate, just because he didn't drink human blood, so thats neither here not there. Even if Stefan does say those things, it does not mean that their relationship is less deserving. Shouldn't family come first. Damon's not modest, either.

That makes it all the worse, especially when you know it's wrong and your trying to change and there are alternatives. He never makes out that he is worse than stefan, because he can't. Stefan has made his mistakes, but that has been few and far between, compared to Damon. Even if Stefan does make out Damon is worse than him, what has Damon done to prove people wrong. Though Damon compelled Elena to forget and even though, I thought it was a sweet moment (from Damon's side) that is still quite selfish, because it's still possible for her to remember what has been said (look what happened to Caroline after she turned). You don't know what stefen would do or not, till it happens, so thats neither here nor there. Stefan has been there for his brother, for instance, the Mason incident and that was Damon who initiated that trouble and Stefan had his back.

What has happened between the brothers does not mean there relationship is not worth saving, because they have both messed up and for there bond to grow, there going to have to realise the importance of what they mean to each other. Elena coming between the two is not going to help.

Damon is one of my favourite characters and it might not have seemed so in my post, but it's because I want him to be that better person that i'm not making excuses for him. It's about facing facts and dealing with them.
