Тетрадь смерти Does it offend Ты when people basically use L, Light, Mello, etc for fanservice, call them things such as "sexy", "hot", and talk about sleeping with/stripping them, etc?

I have to say, I'm not happy when I see it, at all. It's not an appealing way to act (it honestly seems trashy and immature), and I'm sure that if they ever came across a real person who was in love with them, they would not want them to treat them or view them in such a way. I tend to feel the same way about my favorite actors, as well. It shows that they can't take the characters or the general seriousness and message behind the show seriously, despite how deep the plot is and how tragic the characters are. I know it's anime, but still, Death Note is different. If I made an anime series that I intended to really test people and provoke their thoughts, and get out a message about humanity such as the ones in DN, and all the majority of the fan-base was simply girls fawning over the male characters (*cough* like this fan-base *cough*), I'd be pretty bummed out. >.<

It's fine to think that they're and say that they're attractive and all, but not to go to the point of treating them like complete objects.

I try to not let it bother me but there have been instances when people did cross the line.

Most of the time I think it's just a cringey fangirl phase that they're going to get over soon.
