So в общем и целом, общая the reaction to the princess redesign has been very positive. Minus a few cons I will discus.
I want to talk еще about the subtle things the creators have put in which makes them special. So I put together this little review of the new designs
Keep in mind these are designed mostly for children's merchandise therefore yes the designs stray a bit from the original and the Цвета may seem too bright but these are for sales purposes. So I won't be criticizing the parts put in for sale designs

So lets start with Snow White:
Pros: Her face looks very pretty but still sweet, innocent, and youthful (Snow Whites qualities)
Eyes are lovely.
Cons:
I have heard people say her hair looks blue
In defense of the hair to give it texture and a еще realistic look Ты have to add multiples Цвета and with black Ты need to use a blue или grey tone so I am glad they chose blue and I don't think it is that noticeable.
Dress Detail a simple floral Дизайн reminiscent of the Цветы in the forest. (wish they worked an яблоко somewhere in there)

Cinderella
Pros
Her bangs and bun look realistic еще 3 dimensional
This ball платье, бальное платье is legit!
The transparency on the sleeves and gloves is gorgeous.
Cons
Yes its blue not silver (but I think it still looks good)
Cinderella's face is too different from her features in the movie.
Earrings are too big
Dress Detail
the vines that came out of the тыква to make the carriage flow on her dress with stars like the ones the night of the ball along with a glass slipper Дизайн on the hem.

Aurora
Pros
Absolutely Любовь her figure she is stunning
material on the dress looks еще realistic
Hair is еще golden and textured less washed out
Crown better than it looks in the film
Cons
While they kept her slim figure it looks like they made her face slightly bigger and gave her bigger eyes than she has in the film which doesn't suit her. Her modelesque face in the films is why she is ranked so high on prettiest princess lists
Dress Detail
It has the thorns that Maleficent's spell had surround the замок that prince Phillip had to fight through (Wonder if he had to fight to get in that dress...)

Ariel
Pros
(Can we just take a moment to be glad the розовый dress is gone! phew! that was repulsive)
One of my Избранное redesigns!
No drastic changes in the face
hair has body and texture
It is like the dress version of her mermaid Цвета and very elegant
In Любовь with the cut Показ off the shoulders
could go on forever
Cons
The shoes are a bit meh
Never been a Фан of puff sleeves
Dress Detail
Ok so firstly her purple seashell at the вверх of the dress and her earrings are like her seashell bra and match the turquoise of the dress bringing out her mermaid roots (and Цвета that look good with her hair!)
The over юбка is also cut the same way her fins are shaped on her hips.
The over юбка has seashells, starfish, and waves which just make her look like Queen of the sea!
Любовь this dress!


Belle
Don't have that much to say about her Дизайн
Pros
Hair looks еще realistic and relaxed
платье, бальное платье is similar to the original
Любовь the cut of the dress
Cons
Face does not look like Belle
No real wow factor
Dress Detail
The golden Розы on the hem that work their way up are stunning and It is Beauty and the Beast so Ты couldn't have it without incorporating a rose.

Jasmine
Pros
Любовь her figure
Любовь the color
The over юбка addition makes it еще feminine
Way better than the washed out purple thing they had her in before.
The added jewels look gorgeous
transparent sleeves are stunning
Yes, I like that rebellious strand of hair!
Cons
Face seems not quite right which makes her less beautiful than she is in the movie
Earrings are different from the original triangles which I preferred
Pants are a bit too puffy (They look like the Genies!)
Dress Detail
Over юбка has a peacock feather Дизайн which is often associated with жасмин wish there was a lamp incorporated some how.

Pocahontas
So I picture the meeting like this "she isn't a Популярное princess lets let the interns Дизайн her" (Over excited interns botch the job)
Pros
They didn't get rid of her Tattoo
Cons
IMO Pocahontas has the most beautiful face in the Фильмы so I don't know what this mess is. Her eyes are too far apart and high on her face. She looks way older than she is and it looks like someone steamrolled over her. The hair looks like a paper cut out.
WHY IS SHE WEARING BOOTS!?!?! they make her look short and part of her character was running around barefoot.
Dress Detail
They tried to add a lot to her originally simple dress the color is not right. I guess they thought еще accessories will sell better but this ruins the simplicity of her original outfit. I assume all the added feathers and leaves are supposed to be like the scenes in 'Colors of the Wind" which could have been done well but they just killed the whole thing. Really Disney? Really?

Mulan
This could have gone horribly wrong but it is one of my favorites!
Pros
The did not put her in the matchmaker dress (which was awesome because it wasn't who she really was) But they also didn't put her in armor или something too masculine. they found a perfect match for her with the green dress and just made it elegant.
She looks like an empress!
Features look beautiful (not strayed from the movie)
Long hair looks amazing on her
Red sash completes the look
She looks еще mature than she did in the Фильмы but in a good way.
GAH so stunning
Cons
Don't really like the cut of the blue корсаж, лиф it effects the shape making her hips look big.
Dress Detail
Apart from the Chinese knots the вишня blossom branches really reflect her and the ongoing theme of the late bloomer will be "the most beautiful of all"

Tiana
I have always liked Tiana's swamp wedding dress
Pros
It looks a lot like Tiana's Swamp wedding dress
Face is еще endearing and less tired
Цвета are perfect
Cons
Not a Фан of the hair
Wish the dress was a little еще different than her dress in the movie
Not much is new
Dress Detail
Like in the movie it is that beautiful Lilly Pad green and resembles a цветок while still being completely elegant. Some vines were added but other than that the dress is the same which I don't really mind because it is stunning.

Since it is tough to change the 3-D princesses to 2-D I won't be too hard on them

Rapunzel

Pros
I like that they are sticking with the long blond hair instead of short brown
The dress has a nice cut and is like the movie
Cons
Why is her head so giant!
She looks very plain and she is not.
Dress Detail
The hem of the dress has Lilly's and stars like when she was setting of the lanterns with Eugine (Very nice touch)

Merida
I know her redesign has got a lot of press hate
Pros
Managed to keep the "wild in her hair"
I like that she is еще shapely
Still has spunk in her face and stance
Gorgeous color
Cons
BIG HEAD (not as bad as Rapunzel)
Dress Detail
Tartan sash representing her name and Золото Celtic knots detailed with медведь on the hem. Любовь these additions!

в общем и целом, общая Pros: The princesses have еще dimensions to them and look less flat.
I am in Любовь with the subtle movie references on their dresses!
They all look like natural beauties (very subtle make up)
в общем и целом, общая Cons: Why so much Glitter? Poor Pocahontas. Face changes. 3-D to 2-D princesses look like classy Bratz dolls.

Избранное redesign: Мулан или Ariel
Least favorite: Pocahontas
