How can you say this little girl is ugly?

I don't like judgy people very much, because I used to be bullied. (I wear different clothes and dream to much) This is also why I adore different people. Merida is in my вверх 5 Список of all the Дисней princesses, and I've heard a lot of people saying they don't like her, so I decided to write this Статья about her, since I find her beautiful and interesting.
This is why I think she's so disliked:

1. People hate her looks!! They say she's ugly. Which I don't really get, because she has long red hair and blue eyes. -Cough, a bit like Ariel, cough.-

2. They don't like the story. I've also seen somewhere, that the story is just too different. Well, to tell the truth, I do like Дисней Фильмы with romance in them more, but even though Храбрая сердцем was lacking love, it had a certain magic to it.

3. They dislike what she did to her mother. Yes, it was cruel and yes Merida may have overreacted a little. But she didn't know what would happen to her mom when she wished for her to change. But what if Ты had to marry somebody even though Ты just weren't ready? What would Ты do? Princess Merida is just plain misunderstood.

snowsowhite You are right, I used to don't like her, but when I saw Brave again I just found her amazing, even when, withought knowing it she made her mother a bear, she didn't give up, she went with her moither until the end and she didn't left anyone do anything to her mother, she was amazing! I think she is starting to bacame my fave! She was strong and brave until the end and learned from her mistake and in one moment in her film she says "Yes, I've been selfish" and she was ready to marry afterwards for her mother, but then she and her mother understand and tell us that we all have to follow our hearts and we have to change our fates! Angelica_AW I don't know. From what I know of Merida, she's leaving a bad taste in my mouth. But I'm still planning to watch the movie one day.

LupinPrincess I think the only time I started to dislike her was when her fans started to dis the other princesses and put her on a pedestal...she's no better or worse....her being selfish in the movie was the story so I'd like to say that I like her personality best at the end when she picks up her own shit....other than that I love her! I'm practically obsessed!

Swanpride PIXAR might be Disney, but it is NOT the animation studios. I don't think that what Merida did is really defendable. because if the poison had worked like she wanted, she would have altered the mind of her mother, which is a really horrible thing to do. Never mind her gleeful reaction when her own mother is in pain.

snowsowhite Sometimes, after an argument with parents people are agry, they don't understnd what they are doing and after any argument do you think that a person who is angry will think iit a lot, for example after a break up, most people eat a lot of sweets, they have think that they might become fat? No, that's how Merida did all this, without thinking it, but when she understood it she was always there for her mother, that was her sorry and believe me other persons would not have her bravety! I also prefered romances, but that story, Merida's story was special, PIXAR or Disney, I don't see any difference, Merida is special and I don't dislike her because she is like Ariel, come on! Ariel is girly and Merida tomboyisl, they have a lt of differences! But they both break tradition and that makes them special!

Jessikaroo I think the issue really is that Merida is a tradition breaker through and through. Most people are fans of the DP's for specific reasons, they come to them to get their fill on romance, happy endings, femininity, dreams come true, and fairy tales. Whether we like it or not, each DP follows these guidelines. Even Pocahontas had romance and a fairy tale feel. Mulan even had magic and femininity in it, since the movie really is about finding a balance between masculine and feminine energy. Since Merida doesn't have a romance, isn't that feminine, and her story isn't really the typical fairy tale, plus she doesn't sing, it makes sense that most fans wouldn't like her.

Uma1244546 I like her. She isn't ugly, well, if she had log eyelashes, she will be even prettier than some of other princesses, like Briar Rose, Snow, Cinderella. I like her behavior, she's OK.

Sparklefairy375 1. Peoples though she was ugly because she has different design compared to other princesses. Which makes sense as she's Pixar not Disney. Oh, and she's not ugly at all! They keep said that she's ugly because of her curly redhead. But she's actually cute looking. 2. Some peoples have an issue about her story, what's the problem with a Princess movie without any romance and lack of magic and fantasy, but more focused with family love instead of find a prince charming as true love? 3. Yes, Merida is just misunderstood. She was sort of overreacting but she later change! Why she was bashed for what she did, instead Ariel who did the same like her (and isn't change at all!) was praised instead. I don't get it

wavesurf I don't agree with #1. Merida isn't ugly, and people need to stop with saying that. I don't agree with #2. We now have plenty of princesses who don't have princes. This is not "novel" anymore. Why do we think Merida is special for belonging in this category? It's not a special designation, now that so many princesses don't have male partners. I agree with #3. Merida is disliked because Merida is MEAN. Mean is a word that doesn't really come to mind when I think of a Disney Princess. But the word "mean" is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Merida. Haters accuse Ariel of selfishness, neglecting her family, and not ever learning a lesson at all... while Merida is put up on this "change pedestal" because "she changes, and Ariel does not." I don't buy Merida's change at all,because it just doesn't exist in the movie. The people who think that Merida is so much better than Ariel are always going to be "mean," just like Merida is mean. During a debate, they stoop very low, and attack my personal characteristics, just like Merida attacked Elinor's personal characteristics, and then tried to sabotage the whole situation by controlling Elinor's mind. Merida is only quasi-likable. That's about it.

Why do people think Elsa is a selfish when she isn't?

Many Фаны in this club says Elsa is selfish? Seriously? She is not selfish!

I'll give Ты valid reasons

1.) She shuts Anna out just to protect her

2.) She left her kingdom in order to protect her sister and everyone else

3.) She doesn't wanted to hurt anybody, but she has no other choice

4.) She created зефир to sent Anna away from her, because she accidently hit her

5.) She did not mean to harm Anna, she just can't control her powers

6.) Elsa сказал(-а) this "No, Anna. I belong here, alone. WHERE I CAN BE WHO I AM, WITHOUT HURTING ANYBODY"

7.) She felt terrible when Hans told her that Anna is dead....
