Bonjour! So today I just wanted to say a few things about me so people can get to know me better.

10 Болталка things about me:

1. I was born in Australia and I live there, therefore English is my first language but I also speak French (well, I've been learning it for four years, so I am not fluent but I want to continue until I am fluent.)

2. My favourite subjects at school are English, French and History

3. When I am older I hope to become a creative writer (author) but if that doesn't happen then a teacher

4. I am quiet, creative and (kind-of) intelligent. (I mean, I don't have much common sense, but I do pretty well at school.) My hobbies include hockey, reading, creative Письмо and learning French. I've been told I am very mature and responsible for my age (not sure if that's true, but I guess so) and that I look much older than I actually am. (I got charged a ticket for an eighteen год old once. I'm only fifteen.)

5. I have blue/green eyes and long, honey coloured (light brown with a bit of gold) hair. I am tall and slim and probably look most like Belle. Belle with green/blue eyes.

6. My favourite colour is light blue

7. I have three siblings: a younger sister, an older sister and an older brother

8. I have never been overseas. Never. I've been stuck in the same town in Australia all my life and even though I have been all around Australia (including to Uluru, или Ayers Rock, not sure if Ты know what that is), I would really Любовь to go overseas. My first choices are Европа (definitely France, Italy and the UK, but Greece looks interesting too and I Любовь the history) and America

9. My favourite movie of all time is Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers

324anna Firstly, you're GORGEOUS! Anyway, I loved your article! We have many things in common, I want to be an author as well, my favorite color is light blue and I'm quiet and creative as well! About your lists, I'm so glad you included HOND and Esmeralda and I LOVE Flynn. <3 It's great that you would like to visit Greece. :) I'd love to go to France as well. iwasneverhere This was a pleasant and surprising read for me. I knew Belle was your favorite DP, but I didn't know that TLM was your favorite Disney movie ( unless I got that wrong?) I found that surprising, and not in a bad way. Half the reason I love The Little Mermaid is because of its beautiful songs and score ( which I fell for immediately). That's the same reason I love Mulan, Pocahontas's songs/score, and HOND. ( I didn't like the songs in Frozen which jarred with the setting of a "Swedish" Arendelle. The songs and their lyrics didn't fit the landscape at all). Anyhow. I also want to travel, because I have never been outside of America. There are some nice things to see in America ( landmarks and so forth), but since I live here all the time, it would be nice to get out more. I want to go to France, England, Iceland, Scotland, see the Great Wall of China for myself...etc. But traveling takes major bucks, which I do not have a lot of, at the moment. lol. A long time ago, I thought I was going to become an author. That's why there are two children's chapter books, a YA novel, the first book and part of the second book in an adult trilogy, and short stories sitting in drawers collecting dust. Life intervenes and alters your plans. I ended up becoming a scientist, instead. Cheers!! Nice to finally know more about you!

misscindyspice Just going to say, you are beautiful! Anyway, I loved your article, especially your favorite live-action Disney movies, because I love your choices! We seem to agree on quite a lot of stuff, like your wanting to be an author, loving English and History, wanting to go to France, and having Esmeralda, Meg, and Anna in your top 10 Disney Heroines. MissCassecou Thank you guys, that is really lovely of all of you! iwasneverhere, yes, I love the Little Mermaid because of its score (main title theme is beautiful!) and its songs, its characters, the story and it was my absolute favourite movie when I was a kid; I would watch it over and over. I think loving something in your childhood would influence your favourite as a teenager. Travelling is my dream, as well as becoming a writer. I've written lots of books (not particularly good ones, but with some editing and practice maybe one day they will be good) and have lots of ideas. I hate science (because I'm kinda really bad at it) and there's no chance I will choose a career path involving science but I know lots of people who do love it and I think that's really good you've become a scientist! Aw, thank you misscindyspice, that is very lovely of you! Nice to know we have stuff in common! BelleRose829, yay, nice to know you take French! I absolutely adore it! MalloMar I love French so much! I took 3 French courses in high school. It was super fun! We mostly watched Disney movies (some French, some English), drank hot chocolate, ate popcorn, and made paper airplanes. Our teacher was a total sweetheart, and we did learn, but she was just so easy-going. ANYWAY (enough about me) I love Tarzan, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, and HOND. Nice to know maore about you. :)

A different perspective on Shan Yu

I'm finally getting praised... Perfect

Everyone here knows me to be the Shan Yu Фан (Probably the biggest on this spot) with the unpopular opinion that Shan Yu is the best Дисней Princess villain and the секунда best Дисней villain. I am always asked why, so I decided to make this Статья giving a lot of the reasons why I have this opinion. I know a lot of Ты will probably not read this all the way through, but if Ты do, I was not holding a dictionary as I was Письмо this, I just got very serious on this topic.

In Defense of the Classic Princesses

Overdone? Maybe. Needed? Strongly so.

So, maybe some of Ты don't know, but I'm strongly annoyed when users criticize the Clasic Princesses for reasons I think are invalid. These reasons are:

1. Weakness
2. Anti-Feminists
3. Passiveness
4. They're Mary-Sues (have no flaws)

These are the lovely ladies I'm going to defend - Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora. Art not by me.

My Self-indulgent Rant on the Petition Against Merida's Redesign

Sorry guys, but I’m just getting frustrated with this. So I’m just going to give my honest, harsh opinions and thoughts. I definitely have a problem with the way all the princesses have been redesigned, but I have to wonder why it is Merida is being singled out for criticism and not any of the others.

First of all, I’ve got to say I don’t see some of the issues people are taking with her redesign. Well, two specifically. The first is this supposedly “sexual pose” in her redesign that is mentioned in this picture:

Sorry it's long. I have a lot of beliefs about these three to respond to! May get preachy!

I really hate all the hate the old princesses get, especially Snow White. She has a lot еще personality than she is дана credit for (more than many of the Последнее heroines have, too). she’s got a sassy sense of humor, she’s unbelievably emotionally strong despite the horrible abuse and near murder she went through twice (the victim blaming she and Золушка get is rather disgusting and hypocritical), she never gave up hope about meeting her Любовь again, she didn’t need to run around chasing boys...

This is my personal Список of the prettiest Дисней princesses. Again, this is just an opinion and their is no right или wrong.I will also be rating the princesses in a mark I find fair (out of 10)

11) Merida (Brave)
I think her round face is what bothers me the most. It looks just like a big,fat circle, although her freckles fit her quite well. Her hair looks like she hasn't brushed it in year. And no, I'm not saying curls are ugly, but I think hers has too many volume.Don't get me wrong, she is pretty but she can't compare to other princesses.

I've already written Статьи on my Избранное princesses and action scenes, and now the countdow is about the "I want" songs. That's one of my Избранное moments in all DP movies. жасмин doesn't have any solo song, so I didn't include her in the countdown.

Please notice I considered the scenes as a whole, not only the song.

I rate eyes based on how well they look, how they fit the face, what color they are, how they fit with the в общем и целом, общая looks and so on... Plus this is my first Статья :D

10. Cinderella
This may come as a shocker for some. They are so blue and they looks weird. All my attention falls on her lips and the shape of her face rather that her eyes. I feel like "hmm, wow those eyes. Got to look away, ugh very blue, i might be blind after"

Her eyes are the best feature in her face. No wait her lashes are the best :D. Those light brown eyes are so pretty. Looks amazing...

I have to say, I’m tired of all this talk that the Дисней Princesses are not feminist enough. Hearing some of the arguments against them, I come to the conclusion that the only female protagonist the complainers would accept has to be single, career oriented, perfect in every situation and being able to defeat every villain with a hand wave. This is the only Formal Princess dress that I hate. It is hideous! It isn’t flattering on Tiana. The color looks washed out, and the style of it is just plain awful. It looks like the animators literally drew this up in a few minutes. Okay, to explain. I did a countdown AND a Список pick. Much еще people participated in the countdown (almost twice as much) but lists are still еще accurate. So I wrote for both. I will write about the countdown first, then list, for each respective ranking. Especially since I already started to write the Статья for the countdown portion, I don't want it to go to waste.
