She took his place in the war at the risk of being found out and killed and stayed in the army even after Shang told her to pack up and go home. She was found ou of being a woman yet still went to China to warn everyone, and then saved everyone from Shan Yu. Basically what Мулан did was considered a high dishonor but she didn't let that stop her, and if she had, the Huns probably would have taken over China.
