Here is the problem with most people on Merida: she's selfish and wanted to change her mom. I can agree with that yes, but she changed and genuinely apologized in the end. Now I'm not going to bring up Ariel, they are very different but comparing them makes me look desperate. You're free to disagree, we all have opinions.

The Little Mermaid
In the Дисней version, Eric, Ariel, and Triton defeat Ursula, and Ariel turns back into a human and marry's Eric. In the Далее movie, they have a daughter named Melody. But in the orginal version, The Little Mermaid sees the Prince marry a Princess, and despises it, so she is offered a нож to stab the Prince to death, but instead, she jumps into the sea and dies by turning into froth. Since Hans thought this ending was a little to "disturbing," he сказал(-а) she became the "daughter of the air," waiting to go to heaven--- so in the end, she still dies.

Already, as we have seen in her movie, Ariel has single-handedly made the mermaid equivalent to an humanology museum. The vast trove shows her deep intellectual passion for anything humanity; intellectual because she wonders about the objects and she tries to learn what they are about. She has always shown herself to be the eager studier of humans, i.e. anthropology.

Because this is such a broad category, Ariel will be able to choose whatever she feels...

I can never articulate exactly what I dislike about her, so I'm going to copy and paste parts of what lepetitsouris wrote on her tumblr.

When I first walked out of the theater, I liked Rapunzel, until the final scene, but I was sure I would have her high on my list. But as I've re watched the movie, boy, has that opinion changed.

Okay, so before I start, I just want to say that this was what I had wanted Холодное сердце to be like when I first heard about this movie, when there was almost no information about it. So of course this was based on one of the earliest story line Дисней gave us, and I still felt like it would have been better this way. Please don't be rude about my opinions even if Ты disagree with them (which most people probably do) but do feel free to tell me what Ты thought about my version of Frozen. Snow White can be observed communicating with Животные plenty of times in her movie so Ты can't deny that she could have 'talking to animals' as her power. She's surprised to see the Dwarfs because presumably she never has seen any before (also, she just woke up to see a bunch of strangers anyway).
