Come on! This guy sat around his ten years waiting for a girl to save him and his a household and when she did come he just let her run the place and everyone in it. While he hide himself and way waiting for her to love him and save his furry butt!

He's actually probably more of a damsel in distress than Aurora. At least she has an excuse for being a damsel in distress, she was hypnotized for one of them and is asleep for most of the movie. First of all he gets captured by the villain and is saved by the fairies, the real heroes of the movie. I mean if it wasn't for them he'd be dead and Aurora would never wake up. I mean first they help him escape and give him weapons, tell him what to do, overcome obstacles for him with their magic, and enchant the sword to kill Maleficent. I mean every time the guy gets into a little problem they always bail him out and all he has to do is just ride on his horse. Also would anyone actually believe that a HUGE and powerful dragon would've been killed by a sword that is like a toothpick to her would actually kill her unless it was magic? If it wasn't for the fairies Phillip would be trapped in the dungeon, stabbed, crushed, melted, or barbecued and becoming the prince special for Maleficent and using his sword as a toothpick. Not to mention Aurora and the entire kingdom would be in eternal sleep. Those fairies constantly have to save this prince's butt! My next choice would be Beast for basically the reasons everyone has been saying before. The only reason I didn't pick Beast was because of all the times he saved Belle's life in the first movie and the sequel.

He is waiting for the girl he marries to come to him and isn't exactly proactive until he sees Cinderella
THEN he doesn't even go looking for her himself!

Quit picking on the Beast!!! If he was a 'damsel in distress', would he be able to go against the wolves and save Belle's life???

When exactly was Charming in distress?
I understand that Eric was out of his element and in an unfamiliar situation or cursed for a lot of the time in his movie, so he isn't really a damsel in distress, but he still seems to need a lot of help and never actually gets out of a situation himself (well, other than when he steers the ship into Ursula.) The Beast at least (I'm a poet and I didn't even know it) was able to go and stop the wolves and do some protecting for himself, so I'm going with Eric.

Charming isn't a damsel in distress, he's not that well-developed of a character to be a damsel in distress for anything. He hasn't done anything heroic either but not anything damsel worthy. Sure he doesn't go after her but that doesn't make him a damsel, that makes him a lazy butt. As for the waiting he was probably out living his own life with adventure. I mean the king said he needed to finally settle down and said "The boy's coming home today isn't he" so you could only assume he was out on some kind of adventure. So really everything people have been saying that makes him a damsel in distress is irrelevant and invalid.

Charming is never in distress.
Beast on the other hand...he is practically the princess who sits in her castle, waiting for her prince to come to rescue her.
