Elsa is so cliched and unoriginal. She's just like Periwinkle, Zarina, and all new Disney characters. Oh, don't forget Vanellope & Ralph too! Plus Angelina Jolie's Maleficent.
@ I didn't say she was similar to other characters. I just said she was stereotypical for the time and place she lived in.
And I don't see what she has in common with Periwinkle and Vanellope either. Maybe she is a bit like Zarina but The Prate Fairy came after Frozen.

Similarities between Periwinkle & Elsa:
- Both have ice power
- Both have white hairs, or whatever platinum blonde which looks like white after coming out
- Both have curly, spiky hair bangs/fringes
- Both have sister which for very long time being separated but after they unites, they are inseparable
- Both have sister who's the cheery and green one.
- Both are quieter than their sisters
- Both are not the protagonist of the movie but having important role
- Both wears "John Lasseter's light blue" dress.
Similarities between Vanellope & Elsa:
- Both are outcast: Vanellope is called a "glitch" and Elsa is called a "monster"
- Both has "uncontrolled" power. They say "keep it in control" but in the end, they master it and don't want to "let it go"
- Both has power at first being thought bad, but actually their power has beauty and make them unique
- Both are the ruler of the place they live: President Vanellope von Schweetz and Queen Elsa

@vanessa-vanns You know that both Anna and Elsa are equally protagonists, right. All all these similarities you mentioned are not abou their personalities. And as longs as their personalities are really different, then how is she cliched and unoriginal? I haven't seen any Disney character with a personality like Elsa's.

If I'm going to add more characters like Elsa, I'll name them although I doubt you will know them. Beast, Simba, Jean Grey, Bruce Banner, Edward Cullen, Rogue, Bobby Drake (Iceman), Spider-Woman, Remus Lupin, and many more.

I wouldn't mind if you said "I don't think she has personality" but saying "She doesn't have personality" just makes you seem like a person who think she is always right. I'm not trying to sound rude but that's how I feel. Every character has someone that is similar to them. I could name many characters that are like Wendy.
Many people are quiet and run away after making mistakes. That doesn't make them unoriginal.

Snow White: Both are caring and motherly, both wear a bow and have short curly hair, Snow White cleans up the messes of the seven dwarfs, Wendy cleans up the messes of the Lost Boys. The seven dwarfs in the end thinking Snow White is dead, the lost boys cry thinking Wendy is dead.
Alice: Wendy wants to escape from growing up, Alice wants to escape from reality, both want to turn back in the end, both have a similar face mold and hairstyles, both wear bows, Captain Hook and The Queen of Hearts have a similar temper and looks similar, the main color of both is blue
Cinderella: again, blue is the official color for both of them, both have to hurry and come home before..., both have dogs who share the same fate in the beginning of the movie, both are dreamers.
Aurora: again, both are dreamers, Aurora's main colors seems to be blue most of the time, both have similar hair color, someone has to fight for them, she gets sad when her father tells her she should have her own room, Aurora gets upset when her "aunts" tell her she is engaged to a prince.
There are many more but I'm just bored to write those and I don't have to.
