dimitri_ picked Aurora:
She can't stand up for herself for the life of her which goes hand in hand with her having a sense of duty. Her obedience is a nice trait but I don't consider it feminist. Or maybe she is feminist but it's just not shown on screen.

I love Aurora, but she's pretty much useless.

I"m really sorry Aurora. Maybe if you had more screen time they would show your feminist side.

It's not that she isn't, it's just we don't get the chance to see it.

If feminism was REALLY about respecting women's choices, then all of them should be. there is no "least feminist". I think even feminists are confused about what it means. Half of them simply say equality, but a lot of you seem to think it's about being adventurous and outspoken or something, which has nothing to do with equality. (And the fact that a woman must act a certain way to get the honor of being called "feminist enough" says a lot about the movement to me.)

I almost agree with Crazy, but Aurora chose duty over her man. If that doesn't say "feminist" I'm not sure would else could. Feminists praise women who pick careers over anything else (cough Tiana) yet they ignore the original princess who did that.

I'm not sure how much I'll participating in this one because it tends to get pretty ugly when you put feminism in Disney.

I can't believe Snow is still getting voted for either. By now most people here admit she's very proactive and got along fine with out her prince and used her femininity to influence the dwarfs.

^ Well, I choose Aurora because she doesn't have much screen time and because I don't believe she choose duty over love. To me she was just broken in that moment and unable to make decisions. Also not emotionally strong enough to say she wants to marry a peasant.

^Well, I think that here on fanpop people don't praise only women like Tiana, but also women like Snow White. I respect your opinion and I have to admit that the title "the least feminist is" is not very good. But I personally don't have a problem when I put feminism with Disney. And this countdown is not so much for a princess being feminist, because none of them says "Hey men are better" and none of them is a damsel in distress, but for the way Disney represents women. I don't think if that makes sense, because I can't really explain it, but anyway just keep reading. Countdowns about that topic have been done before and I haven't seen anyone complaining about them, so if there are many people who don't like this countdown, of course I will cancel it and start something else. I hope I didn't offend you. Also, for what you said about Aurora, that she chose duty over her man, I have to say that I'm not pretty sure if she did that because she values duty, but maybe because she's too obedient to refuse.

I am literally speechless Ariel has not been voted for even once yet, lol! Feminists seem to either despise her or adore her.
I personally love her, but according to modern feminism, throwing your family and home away for some man is an embarrassment to the female sex.

The way feminism is often put, Aurora's the last. Sure she does her duty... but her duty is to marry someone you don't know? Agree with 324anna, I guess if she dares, she'll choose the peasant boy over the prince, and I won't blame her either since marriage is a very important thing and you should love the one you marry.

^About Ariel, she actively DOES things to get her man, so yeah maybe many don't vote for her.

A feminist is a woman who dares to stand for her own right to marry someone she loves instead of being bound by her engagement.

Some people are so consumed with this outlook on feminism, it's usually people that love the classics. Frankly I think people are WAY to sensitive. I think Aurora is somewhat pro-feminism, but we don't see it much, hardly at all in fact.

^ the Classics are feminists' favorite punching bags next to Ariel, so of course we would have more of a problem. the idea that being feminist is what women should aspire to be and being different is "not feminist" is offensive, which is my own problem with it.

besides, we all know Mulan is just going to win like she always does (even though according to some of you, Mulan is not a feminist because she rarely stands up for herself and was going to marry a stranger to please her family). though 17 year old feminist me would probably have voted for Ariel. (Sorry, Ariel, but I couldn't stand your actions back then!)

Well, it's already closed, but I would have voted for Aurora. About feminism... I have mixed views. I have some problems with it, because they're rather close-minded when it comes to "what a woman should be like" and other things like that.
