Am I the only one that sees a lot of love for her off of here? I know a lot of people who love her in real life, and she's very well recognized and liked on other websites as well. Just because some people say she's not a princess doesn't make her unpopular as a character..

I never see her on any merchandise, almost no one (at least where I live) has seen the movie, no Halloween costume, she is only seen at one spot at Disney world, etc. I love, love, LOVE Mulan but she is very unpopular in unpopular in the real world. On the other hand, she is quite popular online. But little kids simply don't like warrior princesses.

In other places like DA and tumblr she's the most beloved princess due to her "warrior chick" status. To the general audience/Non hardcore Disney fans she's the most fondly remembered (Mulan Aka "the badass princess")

Kind of. Among younger girls, I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't that popular with them because she hardly gets any merchandise. I know a few people though who really like Mulan, so maybe she's more popular among the older fans.

Mainly because of the lack of merchandising and stuff, little girls don't really know her anymore. People on tumblr do love her.

^yeah, that. And ONLY because Disney knows she isn't marketable to most girls so they don't bother trying. everyone else, especially people my age who were kids when the movie came out, loves her. heck, I'd say she's MORE popular now than she was when she was new.

I can't believe some people online say she's underrated! she gets a ton of attention and love, and typically for shallow reasons, never her herself.

People rarely talk about her. It's like they all forgot about her. It's a shame, She used to be my favourite when i was younger.

Outside Fanpop, then yes. She is barely notice by peoples in general.

People seem to notice Merida, Tiana, Elsa, and Moana more.... But then, the Revival era has a huge number of fans.
