YUP! She's smart enough to build an ice castle, and smart enough to question Hans being around. But then Elsa is dumb enough to think that distance will save people from her powers, and that Hans is trustworthy. This shows the inconsistency of the movie. Elsa's intelligence at the beginning of the movie is totally undermined by the end, as she requires Anna to tell her the answer to controlling her own powers. :/

It doesn't show the inconsistency of the movie -- even smart people do stupid things sometimes.(Not that I think elsa is especially smart). I didn't get the feeling she especially trusted Hans either, but that she felt she didn't have a choice but to leave, so that left him in charge.

Well, I disagree a tad bit. There are inconsistent parts in Frozen. I pointed them out in this article: link.

And there are many other articles online, where people discuss why some "aspects" of this movie make them confused. Just scour the internet, and you can find a lot of them.

Creative yes, intellectual, not so much.

I personally always have perceived Elsa that way. Technically, building something like that requires the laws of physics and knowledge in perspective so that's kinda why. I asked this question because many have stated that everything was all thanks to magic.

^^^ I, too, don't think that it was all do to magic. Elsa is smart, and then Jennifer Lee took that away from her...in my opinion.

Intellectual no, but definitely creative.

I've said it before, but it was smart to make her into geometry in ASMLM, because it explains how she knows about building stuff.

I think she is the most creative princess.

But it is all magic and she didn't have to think about it...
