By far!! Mulan's my second favourite, and Merida's my least favourite.

I love that she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in (though she doesn't go about it in the right way and that she embraces her uniqueness and stays true to herself instead of changing to fit her mother's idea if an ideal princess.

I find Mulan willing to at least be "conscientious" which is a trait that I like to see in a DP. Merida is more defined by her "non-conscientious" nature, and while I like her... her actions bother me, so I can't love her.

No contest! Mulan is by far better than Merida. Better character development, personality and "design".

Love Mulan!

I consider Merida is an honourable person for she acknowledges and admits fault. She asks for forgiveness to her mother. She succeeded to reconnect the broken bond with Elinor in the end. Besides, I adore her skills in archery sword-fighting, and horse-riding.

Her character developed isn't rushed or forced like Mulan's, and it's a lot more believable because Merida had some serious flaws that needed to be mended, unlike Mulan, who doesn't really have any negative qualities at all, just some quirks like clumsiness. In fact, I love that Merida is so flawed. Mulan would be more pleasant to be around, but Merida is the better character, I think, even if she is Brenda Chapman's pseudo-feminist OC.

There are a few things about Merida's character that bother me, so I choose Mulan.

what basically is saying about Merida, and to add to that, she has likeable qualities which are just hidden beneath a wrongly understood personality because of her own poor communication skills. How she fights for her dreams while not running away is very commendable.
I love Mulan too for her humble and modest behaviour.

I like both there both strong and brave in there own ways, but if I had to choose then I would pick Mulan.

this is easy to say. I never saw brave, so it just has to be mulan. That was very easy to say.
