She's too much of a goody two shoes, she's too perfect. She's always portrayed as someone who, even when they're making mistakes, it always turns out right. She doesn't have any gumption to go after what she wants.

I still like her though. I just like her least. And I agree with princeslullaby, but I don't want to get into a debate/argument for no reason, so let's just not get into it.

I love her and she will probably always be my second favorite.

Belle is a character I have never ever liked at all in the slightest. When I was little and I first saw Beauty and The Beast, I was like "Are you fucking serious?". I was big on my fairytales (understatement of the year tbh) and BatB was probably one of my favourites. I loved Beauty, the gorgeous blonde girl that painted pictures, read by the fire and was always kind and sweet. But what I loved most about her, besides her image, was the fact that she turned her back on the Beast. She made a mistake and it lead to his death. He did come back to life, but still. It lead to his death. If Belle ever makes a mistake, it always turns out alright and she always did it in the best interests because Belle is perfect and everbody looooooves Belle. The similarities between her and *shudder* Bella Swan are sickening. They're both outcasts by their own doing, they both fall in love with a non-human, they're both bland in appearance but everyone loves them to bits and wants to date them because they're a freakin' Mary-Sue.
