I hate to say it, but she seems like she loves her father enough to do such thing, plus she also kinda needs to find herself.

I think so! She loves her father, and she would fight for her people.

The initial choice to take a father's place I can imagine from Tiana, Pocahontas, Belle and maybe Jasmine, but that wasn't Mulan's only big choice. Her later choices involve keeping cool in a crisis and coming up with quick tactics and I only really see Pocahontas and Tiana having much luck there, and Pocahontas may be too much a pacifist to make the violent choices Mulan had to. Mulan killed people, I think Pocahontas would make different choices to try to find a different way (and against Shan-Yu that would end up costing her I think), so that leaves Tiana.

Tiana's tough, headstrong and had one of the more healthy, loving relationships with her parents. She has a willingness to face harsh realities,but the determination to not let those realities stop her.

I don't think Poca loves her father as much as Belle does; I mean, Belle sold her life to the Beast to save him.

I think Pocahontas would hate the fighting. But then again, she only hated the fighting because John was involved. If her true love wasn't involved, who knows?

Ariel displays many of the same instincts as Mulan does. The minute Ursula traps Triton, Ariel goes right after her.

^Are you kidding? What makes you think Ariel would did every single thing that Mulan did. As we know, Mulan fights for her family and Ariel fights for her love.

Either her or Tiana. They both are loyal towards their family.

^Not true. Ariel loves her dad, and was the first to fight against Ursula. But obviously, your interpretation of what Ariel doesn't do is why you dislike/hate her.

FYI, Ariel helps everyone throughout her movie. Belle does not.
