Cinderella- The cornerstone of everything. Most little girls dress up like her, she has her own castle, she's the star of most of the stage shows with the princesses, stars of the parades and floats, is the first to have her spiel in Wishes, Cindy is by far the center of attention at Disney World.

Snow White- She has her own ride (none of the other princesses can claim that) And very frequently shows up with Cinderella everywhere (along with Aurora). Her songs constantly play, her villain is the the only one in Wishes (the fireworks show), she's also always in the parades and floats, and she has her own spiel in Wishes.

Aurora- Ditto for her and Snow White, but unlike Snow, she doesn't have her own speech in Wishes, although her dress is more popular for the little girls because it's pink.

Ariel- Nearing popularity of the first 3, she's got a wide range of merch because of mermaid AND dress form, she also has her own spiel in Wishes, and she is clearly favored here, probably because of Jodi Benson's frequent visits and dedication to her character that the other voice actresses don't give. She is often seen on her own, which is unusual, since a lot of the princesses are on merchandise with their princes. In the New Fantasyland being built, Eric's castle is much larger and more prominent than Beast's- but they're really neck & neck.

Belle I was going to tie her with Ariel, but mainly when they advertise Beauty and the Beast stuff, it's usually with Lumiere or Belle & the Beast together, Belle is hardly on her own. For example, in Philharmagic, The Little Mermaid segment stars 'Part of Your World' while the BATB section is 'Be Our Guest' completely without Belle. Even in the ads for Fantasyland, Belle has her own ad- but it's along with a Belle & Beast ad and a Lumiere ad. Although Ariel's ad is with Eric. But BATB as a whole is advertised more than Belle herself, unlike for Ariel.

Jasmine- The thing with Jasmine is she's nearly just as popular as Belle and Ariel and little girls dress as her a surprising amount, and she definitely is featured more than Aladdin- the only difference is, she does share the spotlight with Aladdin more.

Tiana- You can make an argument about Tiana & Rapunzel being tied here, but the fact is there's more Tiana merch than Rapunzel merch, Tiana is pictured with the other (first 6) princesses as a whole WAY more than Rapunzel is, and little girls here dress up as Tiana way more than Rapunzel.

Rapunzel- What Rapunzel has over Tiana is the face character- her queue is ALWAYS the longest of ANY of the princesses by far, and Tiana is always with Naveen- Rapunzel is on her own. She has a lot of merchandise but is rarely grouped with the other princesses.

Mulan- The fact is, the last two princesses are completely forgotten. I only put Mulan higher because it's significant- she has a couple of solo merch, mostly pollypocket-esque merch, but mostly she's with the other princesses. If she has any merchandise at all, which is rare.

Pocahontas- I will only say that today was my 6th or 7th or 8th trip to Disney World as a whole since I've gotten here, and I've been to all the parks at least 3 times- and today was the first time I found ANYTHING with Pocahontas. A Pocahontas pin. I bought it. Literally the ONLY thing I found.

Not a shock...so many things at the park are centered around her like princesslullaby said...which makes me giddy as hell because she is my favorite! I was however shocked (but glad) to see so many little girls dressed like Tiana and Jasmine.

By the way...have you MET Pocahontas yet Jen??

I'm not surprised at all that Pocahontas gets the least amount of attention. I'm not surprised about Cinderella either. I am surprised that Rapunzel is so low.

@princesslullaby - I'm surprised you found a Pocahontas pin. I went to Disneyland in July 2011 and I looked everywhere for Pocahontas merch (especially pins) and I couldn't find any. I asked a store clerk there and they told me that the only time they see Pocahontas pins is around Thanksgiving - I found that really sad. I found pins of all the other princesses, including 3 Mulan, but absolutely no Pocahontas :( What does your Poca pin look like?

Cinderella, to me, has always been the most popular in Disney Parks so I'm not surprised that you put her at #1 at all :)

I'm actually surprised that Cinderella is so popular, I would have thought Ariel and Rapunzel would be the most popular. I think I'll just give up hope of ever seeing Pocahontas merchandise now though, if there's basically nothing featuring her at Disney World :(
