He should have left before Prince Charming. He is a plot device with like 1 personality trait. He sings to Snow White, kisses her, the end. At least Charming spent a few hours with Cinderella and will make front cover of a DVD case. Charming has way more personality than this device

I'm not a big fan. He doesn't listen to Jasmine when he talks to her, and he lies to her so so much!

I really dislike him. I'm not allowed to hate.

He is barley shown in the movie, all we see him do is sing and wake Snow White. I agree with Jayden-G about everything. He is the definition of a cliché prince and is not in any way realistic or relatable. If someone says that he has flaws that is just over analyzing. He has no flaws, no REAL traits, no development, not in anyway realistic or relatable at all. He just isn't anything at all.

He always bored me, even as a kid. Charming is the most boring prince to me and I don't even dislike him as much as Eric. Well, maybe not dislike, but like the least. Eric gets a LOT of love, despite him being a only slightly deeper version of Charming himself. I'm pretty sure it's just because he is everyone's favorite mermaid's guy, and perhaps because people love the blue-eyed, black-haired look. He's very nice, and is brave too, but for all the modern princes get praised for having more personality than the classics, he really does not. He sails, and sails, and falls in love with what appears to be a mysterious crazy girl, and... I just don't find him interesting, though I've tried.

Maybe if he had more screen time I would like him more. He's only there in the beginning and at the end. The only thing we know about his character is he loves Snow White. But I must admit, "One Song" is one of my absolute favorite Disney songs. That's really the only plus.

^I agree. All he does is just sing about Snow White and as an audience, their has got to be lovable things about him, flaws, interesting development, and so on. They waste his time in a song about Snow White. At least we know Phillip as a character well enough to understand him well. And wait a minute, where are the John smith voter comments?

Well... first of all my main reason that he didn´t even tried to fight for Pocahontas. So much for love. Then you can hear him saying at the beginning that the "indians" wouldn´t be a problem for him (like saying he was going to get rid of them and that there wasn´t anything special about the place they were going). He said also that they were going to make the life of savages better (he had done it before). Geez, if you like a girl that much you don´t call her family (or people in this case) savages nor try to change their ways. If they want they can change.

Well, too easily tempered for me. And I've always had the feeling that it isn't Belle whom fell in love with. It was just the girl. I mean, he would fall in love with any girl that would enter his castle, just to be a human again.
He agrees (in the movie after all that Belle could save him.

I disgree on John Smith being one of the least beloved princes.
People say he seems to be perfect and that's makes him boring but this isn't true. He has many flaws and that makes him interesting.
He also can change and see the truth, he is a good friend and lover, I can't see why people dislike him.

I don't know enough about him to say if I like him or not. I love his voice, but this is all.

Okay, codyvenustrent, smith called her a savage before he even became her friend. He was just into the process of meeting her, he wasn't in love with her at that time. But thanks for commenting, your the only person who is commenting about why you don't like him.

And for allegrogiocoso, Shang was captain of the army. He was serious because he was captain of the army and his father got killed. He has to be serious and try to get the soldiers together or all of china will be slaughtered. The soldiers were too silly for Shang to even lighten up a bit. He had to be serious obviously since he is going to WAR.

Sorry if I sounded rude, this is just one of those things that i get tired of hearing. What John smith said was one of his flaws and he changed at the end.

Even though I see little of the prince, he's so classic and adorable, I can't help but be charmed like snow...John however, I've just never liked him much, his personality and design is a bit too mature for my tastes...what can I say? I'm a sucker for a young smile and big dreamy eyes
