Why is it so hard to eliminate her? My reasons are the same as in the first to sixth rounds.

I really like her but she's just lower than the others now. I guess the only reason she's lower is because she isn't as confident as others, a trait I greatly admire and respect. I also like a bit stronger personalities, so all others are higher than her on my list

She comes across as sillier than the others. I don't know why...but between her and Elsa...that was one of the reasons why I could not take Frozen's "serious tones" very seriously.

I love everyone here but yep I guess her. She has a wonderful spirit, but doesn't act that smart the entire time.

I'm not a fan of Rapunzel, never have been. She comes across as a Mary-Sue to me, something none of the other princesses come across as in my opinion. She also feels like she is being shoved in your face: LOOK AT HOW RELATABLE AND QUIRKY AND CUTE SHE IS, and I hate it when movies do that. Personally I don't find her development to be all that realistic (she should be waaayyy more socially awkward after having spent her entire life only in the company of one other human being). She's just not very realistic, and her ditsiness and bubblyness make her like a piece of candy that's too sweet to enjoy.

I do like her, but she's lower on my list than all the others.

I find her rather annoying and overrated, personally!

I'm not sure how I feel about Anna anymore. I've always admired her spunkiness, selflessness, openness, and optimism, but the more I think about it, the more the way she handled Hans bothers me. I'm not talking about the whole love at first sight, "You can't marry a man you just met" thing - I actually find her romantisism endearing. I mean the way she handled Hans after she learned his true intentions. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I think berating and punching Hans was a very spiteful thing to do, NO MATTER WHAT he did to her first, and it sends an awful message to children that it's acceptable (if not expected) to hurt others if they hurt you first. I'm sorry, but I just don't believe in fighting unkindness with unkindness.

@MelStrachey: I felt that way about Belle when she first debuted on the screen in 1991, back when I was 10. There are all these Belle fans, but Belle is an acquired taste. I've found you have to admire a bland character, who has a snooty mindset, which is what Belle's characterization is.

I think Anna deserves credit for her ability to pull through even though she has for most of her childhood had no parents to speak of and a sister locked in a room who won't talk or play with her, for reasons Anna doesn't know.
She also deserves credit for trekking through the mountains to get Elsa, and for putting herself between Hans' falling sword and Elsa.
I think part of the reason she seems very impulsive and light-hearted most of the time is because she wants to make herself as likable as possible after she's been locked up all those years. She's very insecure and has been deprived of love and interaction, but she's not moping around - she's getting out and trying to do things the first chance she gets. She's throwing herself into life.

And ultimately, I think that the fact that she is selfless and kind overrules the fact that she doesn't come off as sensible or particularly bright.

^definitely agree on the last part about Anna. characters need flaws to round them out. if she were a genius and prudent on top of brave, pretty and selfless she'd be too perfect.

anyway, what Maid said. people always say Anna is the Rapunzel ripoff but Anna's more selfless.

I love Anna. I think she's really sweet and endearing. Of course she is an acquired taste but I don’t think by that much. She is a bit quirky but I really love her spunk and find her to be very genuine and realistic. I also love that even in her sheltered environment she is still very loyal and accountable. She has a lot of energy but she directs it positively towards encouraging others and being selfless. She has a beautiful balance to me of being feminine and striving for sophistication and grace while also being very gallant and tenacious.

I'm deciding to defend Rapunzel in advance if any princesses that are tied at the end of this poll are eliminated at once (I'm not sure how this kind of thing goes).

I believe we should focus on Rapunzel's personality and heart rather than focusing on the fact that Disney made her seem pretty much perfect. Think of her as a person. I hope people as a rule don't hate people with both heart and talent, because that would give the world an awful atmosphere. She's selfless, empathetic, and bright, and I personally don't see a problem with that. (She also pulled through an abusive relationship with Mother Gothel.)

I thought we were judging the Disney princesses based on their OWN personality and actions, rather than looking at it like what DISNEY had them do in their movies.

(I would have underlined the words in caps instead because I'm not trying to yell but I still wanted to put emphasis on those words and there is no underline option or italics option that I can see.)

My long comments, just in case she's eliminated now.

Yes, my least favorite DP is Anna, my favorite's sister. I think she is annoying and her humor or awkwardness are forced. The idea of her getting married to a man she's just met disgusts me. Worse, it is intended to ridicule the old DP. Her scenes without the Ice Queen is boring. As the matter of fact, she is the main character of the movie and I think she has no development. She's still bringing new guy she's just met, only this time she's lucky that he ain't bad like the predecessor. Worst of all, she has nothing new in her character! She's as dull as a block of ice that has not been crafted yet by Elsa. Hopeless romantic? Old DP. Cheerful, optimistic, and quirky? Ariel and Rapunzel. Daring? Merida's movie even titled Brave. True love things? Belle. Plainly, without her sister, her existence is meaningless.

^ I agree that she doesn't seem to change from her experiences. I personally can't detect any rise in maturity in her, which would be nice. However, she does prove herself willing to pay the ultimate price for her sister's life, and that earns a lot of respect from me.
