In Dipper's fiasco, he took advantage of the song, and used it to kill Wendy and Robbie (In the words of TDWT Sierra, I'm referring to relationships and souls). This was because Wendy discovered that Robbie was a hypocrite, and dumped him for lying to her.
In Alejandro's fiasco, he listened in on Gwen and Duncan's duet, and discovered some details about it. When it was time for the tiebreaker, Alejandro revealed that Duncan and Gwen's kiss, from Tyler. This caused Courtney to dump Duncan.
Revenge is worth a broken heart.
P.S. The only difference between Al and Dipper was that the former did it because he's evil, while the latter wanted to be sure that Wendy was safe.
