In the episode "The Pandorica Opens", the oldest message in recorded history, "hello sweetie" left by River Song also had Greek letters underneath that begin with Theta Sigma. We know the Doctor сказал(-а) he preferred to be called the Doctor when his colleague called him Theta Sigma in his early days. Also, we know River Song knows his real name according to David Tennant in the episode "The Forrest of the Dead" when he tells River that she whispered his name in his ear. "The Pandorica Opens" episode shows the Doctor telling Amy that he followed th coordinates on the cliff face, which were left by River who knows his name, and he says Далее "earth, Brittain" and the год they arrived in. As I said, underneath "hello sweetie" was Theta Sigma, which I take to mean what Ты would write to a friend when giving directions in a message....First Ты would give ur message a clever title, like "hello sweetie", and Далее you'd all ur friend by name, like " Theta Sigma", and then you'd give them the message, like coordinates (earth, Brittain). Of course I could be wrong, but I think his name is еще complicated than the words Theta Sigma. In some translations, Theta means people или the people. Sigma means the sum of. If the Вопрос that must never be answered is really doctor Who?, as foreshadowed in the Далее season, then it could be that the doctors true name somehow means sum of the people, или people's summation. This would definitely make a great scenario for "the question" and why it could never be answered. Did the Doctor somehow create the human race? Like I said, I could be way off base, but I've researched the names and Greek symbols and this is one idea I've come up with. Also, in the letter from the council of the defense when the Doctor is on trial, his name is hard to translate, but the symbol "chi" with a two is translated in one way as "air, breath" или the internal necessity for life.
