Also, I think the idea of an "enemy" becoming a doll(whom we all tend to like) is an interesting concept. Will he inspire the same feelings of protectiveness that the other dolls do? Or will he continue to be viewed as the bad guy, no matter what? I think he drives home the fact that we don't really know why every doll is there- or who they really were before.

i suppose it would be the only doll we knew before they were wiped however i think joss will probably save that beauty for a character we really care about and have them wiped by force like boyd or someone (which would break my heart but would probably a fantastic jossy twist to see the whole echo reaction)

but i dunno maybe i don't want him to be because like you said he is the enemy...maybe i would warm to him we were given the impression that he was doing it for money for his mum

I just wonder if he's someone we could come to care about, in spite of his flaws. Like you said, his motivation was trying to help his mom. How much different is he from any of the Dollhouse staff? They're all morally ambiguous but I've come to care about them all (even Dominic). That's the great thing about this show. Nothing is black and white. :)

hmm i have to say i'm coming round to your thinking but we already know his story if you get what i mean i think if next season was to have another doll introduced (maybe a november or alpha 2) it would have to be one with a background we didn't know or was told as the season went on

I'm not sure I can be compeltely neutral here because for some reason, I see the actor who plays Sam and think Desperate Housewives. Then I think "Take off your shirt" Then I think "Oh my Joss katie, you should really focus on the episode.
