Do Ты agree that the appearance of the English/St. George's flag has racist tendancies?
So there's been a quite Дебаты recently that the English flag is racist towards other ethnic groups (aside British-white). Do Ты agree? Should it be changed?
Personally, I think it's nonesense that the flag, a simple white rectangle with a red cross, can be racist. I fail to see how it can represent a certain type of ethnicity apart from it's origin from the middle-ages when almost all English people were just that. I'm proud of our heritage and don't want it to change. I'm in no way racist, and support multi-ethnic communities, I Любовь the diversity, but I think this is going way beyond political correctness. I fail to see how the flag can cause injustise/offence to people.
However, being only a white English myself, it's easy for me to think like this, I would Любовь to know what all Ты lot think. Am I overlooking something? Does it have racist tendancies? или biased towards a certain type of British citizen? Should it be changed, and if so, to what? I am open and welcome to all your views. :)
