I think the anime team for the anime made it clear that the girl Ed kept going back to was Rose and/Noah. I mean seriously. LOL. I'm sorry, I just think its damn time they get more biracial couples in anime, and EdxRose make a much cuter couple.

It depends on which manga translation you look at. The one I saw most commonly was Ran Fan. Is that the way it is in the new anime? I haven't been watching. :/

in Japanese the r is pronounced as l so really its both

I really like a lot of these couples, i love ed and winry (even though he is mine)*grr's* Roy and Riza is adorable and i will cry if they dont end up together, but i think ling and lan fan is really cute as the new hot couple and just the fact that they care so much for each other !! *Fan Girl Squeee* And of course ed and al's parents thet are so cute and wonderful together

Royai is one of the most genuine and realistic relationships I've ever seen in a manga. Overall though, I think it's amazing how Arakawa is able to come up with such good couples (not just Royai).

Royai is such a freaking good relationship with all the backstory and coolness that follows the two around. Not to mention Roy and Riza's ACTUAL relationship, which is hardly cliche at all and a fresh, new feel to anime relationships :)
