well i perfer guys in rubber Форс-мажоры lik godzilla but ill accept anygiant monster movie accept i kinda feel bad for those lizards in the Остаться в живых world and journey to the center of the earth i mean they glued horns on them and made them kill each other cg i dont really lik buts it better then stop motion animation
Cg monsters (or anything impossible to film live) may look better, but as Mario said; without FX pioneers early on, we wouldn't have the technicaly developed genre we enjoy today. Those old movie monsters are ok, but the real fun in those Фильмы is that god-awful dialogue that really has NO excuse. "... say, I think I Любовь you.." WTF?
First of all remember that Willis O'brian and луч, рэй Harryhow ssan were before CGI или even Suitmation and did an incredible job with the technology they had at hand. They added to their Фильмы rather than dominating them as too many of today's productions do simply to hide a weak story and an even worse script. Looking at pioneering films with modern filters is simply silly and it gives the viewer a false sense of superiority. Film history is just like all History in that it must be viewed in the context it was made in или everyone's time is simply wasted. ...add the arrogant and quite snotty tone of the Вопрос to the list.
