Glee’s Chris Colfer and Lea Michele Nab 2015 Teen Choice Award Nominations

may have ended with a whimper earlier this year, but some of the show’s stars are still being recognized for the work they did on this groundbreaking series. Case in point: Former

stars Chris Colfer (Kurt) and Lea Michele (Rachel) were both nominated for 2015 Teen Choice Awards!

has long been a Teen Choice favorite, and although the series itself didn’t score a nom in the first wave of nominations released on June 10, we’re happy that Chris and Lea were nominated in the Choice TV Actor: Comedy and Choice TV Actress: Comedy categories, respectively.

). Chris wasn’t nominated last year in this category, though his then-co-star Chord Overstreet was. Ultimately, however, Ross Lynch took home the top honor. Here’s hoping voters remember this is the last time Chris can be nominated for

As for the Actress race, Lea won last year but she’s got some serious competition this year from Golden Globe-winner Gina Rodriguez (

In 2013 Lea famously won the coveted surfboard and dedicated it to her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith, who had passed away just a few weeks earlier. Let’s hope Lea can snag yet another surfboard to take home later this summer!
