Ladies; gentlemen; Twilight fans; Harry Potter fans; Ravenclaws; Gryffindors; Slytherins; Hufflepuffs; Team Edward; Team Jacob; Team das Schweiz; Everyone.

Are you all as equally enraged by the book burning images posted by some fans as I am? Do you condone this behaviour with silence? Is this what a moral and respectful person does?
In short, my patience has run out. Posting burning Twilight books is as equally deplorable and disgusting as posting burning Harry Potter books, it has not only no relevance to the discussion, it is also a representation for anti free speech and censorship.

Now, if you are as disgusted as I am, please sign this petition and show those bigots that this is as depraved as the Nazis.

I've actually burned books before, but I'd never burn Harry Potter or Twilight. To be honest, I can't really see what's so taboo about it. Unpleasant, yes, especially if you like the book being burned, but in general, it seems like book burning is right up there with Hitler on a scale of evilness, which I've honestly never understood.

Of course, I've burned two books in my life, but I still don't see what's so wrong.

Though I do completely agree with this petition about not burning Harry Potter or Twilight, :)

Authors worked long hard hours, writing their worlds on paper, not to be burned, but to be enjoyed. It doesn't matter WHAT is on the paper, but how it affects people (the readers), and who enjoys them, as well as the work behind it. Twilight may not be my favourite book, but how different is it from burning a Harry Potter book? How? Because YOU like one series more? Think.
