Do Ты believe that Ты can only be a Harry Potter Фан if Ты have read all of the books?

I think if Ты are a real Фан Ты should read the books. Ты can be a Фан of the Фильмы but if Ты are a Фан of Harry Potter Ты read the book because that is the really Harry Potter.
What I get from your Комментарий Ты are a real HP Фан because Ты are trying to read the Книги and maybe even want to read all of them.

To those people who complains about that they can't read for some reasons, there is a reason there is audio books. I have read and "read" all of the Книги myself several times (16/7 times, the last one only 6 times). I even learn to read properly from HP but I do listen to the audio Книги sometimes because I don't like to read so much anymore like I did before, so today I try to walk so much as possible and in the mean time I listen to the books. English isn't my first language but I listen to them in English because I Любовь his voice, I mean he really brings the characters alive. And when I listen to them in English, I improve english at the same time.
I really enjoy that.

Ты can be a Фан at any time, even just watching the movies. However, to be a true, die-hard fan, Ты have to read the books. But you're already Чтение the books, so if Ты continue to Любовь them and read them, then you're perfectly die-hard :)

Personnally I have read all the Книги and I've seen all the Фильмы but I just consider myself just as a fan.
I don't believe of the crap and I repeat clearly myself THE crap other Фаны или people call "TRUE FAN" it doesn't exist such a thing или person или group of persons.
It's just a damn way to separate us and to make people feel bad just because they only like the Книги или only likes the movies.
For me Ты are A Фан because Ты like what Ты read или watched или both, that is a fan.
Being a Фан is just liking the Книги или just one book или one movie. People who say: "True Фаны blablabla" just wants to give themselves some importance. I don't see the big deal about it. We're all HP Фаны and we're all equal just by that.

If Ты ask me, the answer is simple. Ты can be a Фан if Ты haven't read the books. But Ты can not fully appreciate the beauty held in Harry Potter. So basically what I'm saying is this: Ты are a fan. Not a true fan. When you've read all the Книги though...that's a different story.

At least Ты aren't one of those people who watches the Фильмы then reads the first two pages of the first book and say, "I don't like it. It's stupid." Hope Ты finish them soon!

My Sister and Brother didn't start Чтение the Книги until they saw the films. And my Mother, who has seen all the movies, has never once picked up a Harry Potter book, and she calls her self a "Die-hard" fan.

Maybe to some people that would mean you're not a true fan. But who cares what they think? What matters most is what Ты think...

I stared loving Harry Potter when I saw the HP1 movie! I was so in Любовь with it. U don't have to read all 7 Книги to become a Фан of HP, HP is sooo cool that Ты can be a Фан of it by only watching the HP 1 movie ;) it's possible. And I did'nt read all Книги yet,I just read HP 1,2 & 3 and saw all the movies. I agree with @innocenta.

No Ты don't need to have read all the Книги I was 3 when I became a Фан of Harry Potter and I couldn't read and so far I have only read Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban

I don't agree with your mom at all. Being a 'real' Фан of anything is subjective. I've seen all the moves, read all the Книги -- starting when they first came out --, been to almost all the midnight releases, dressed up as characters, and had themed parties. But I don't have the Книги on tape, and hardly have any memorabilia, and some might say that I'm not a 'real fan.'

A real Фан is someone who loves the series, regardless of whether they've read all the books, seen all the movies, only got into it because of certain actors или movies, или got into it once it got 'popular.' The way I see it: if someone tells Ты you're not a real Фан because Ты didn't do what they've done, they're just trying to make themselves look and feel better by making Ты look small.

Ты Любовь the series -- that's all that matters.

I think that's a minimum, as everything started there, in the books. There might have been no movies, yet the Книги are still there.

The Фильмы are great and in so many aspects, they convey what the atmosphere of the Книги fairly well. Plus the cast is just wonderful. I encourage my students in the English language to watch the Фильмы because they are an highly enjoyable way to improve English, thanks to the impeccable diction of some of the actors.

However, the Фильмы could not tell everything. Many important subplots have been discarded. The Книги are far richer and it's a pity not to read them.

Well you're a Фан of the Фильмы , but to be a TRUE Фан Ты have to read the Книги . I mean that's what everythings based on and I believe Ты do have to read the Книги if Ты want to call yourself a true potterhead .

No. I'm a very big Фан of the movies. But never read the books. Well,except I read a few chapters on book 5. Just sayin.

You're a real Фан when Ты believe you're a real fan, not when other believe it.

Ты certainly can be a real HP Фан without Чтение the books, but you're cheating yourself if Ты don't read them. The Фильмы are great, sure, but they pale in comparison to what JK Rowling wrote. When Ты watch the movies, you're only getting maybe a quarter of the story, and you're getting someone else's vision of it. Only when Ты read the Книги do Ты get the whole story, and Ты can make your own movie in your mind. Ты have your own vision of the story, and I think that's far еще valuable.

And honestly, Ты don't really know the true depth of the characters if Ты don't read them. And if Ты never read the books, then Ты will never truly understand how brave, how awesome was our Potions Master, или how great was his sacrifice, because the Фильмы do not do Severus Snape justice. Alan Rickman does, have no doubt, but the films just don't.

And if you're a Фан of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, as I am (passionately), you'll never really know them if Ты don't read the books. Because the Фильмы trivialize them terribly.

I don't think Ты have to read the Книги to be a fan. I have several Друзья that like the Фильмы and have never picked up one of the Книги in their lives. That being said, I always encourage people to read the books. They have so many awesome moments in them that, unfortunately, never made it to the big screen. It takes longer to read a book than to watch a movie, but the Книги are totally worth reading. Ты can't get a full understanding of the magical world and of Harry's story if Ты just watch the movies.

Everyone has their opinion. But I think it's a bit silly to asume anyone has the ability to say if someone else is really a true Фан или not. That's for Ты to say.

I think its a personal desicion and judgement whether или not your a Фан no one else can say that your not a real Фан because Ты do или don't do something that is up to you. If that makes sense

No. Ты don't have to read the Книги to be a true HP fan. Either makes Ты a fan. Just as long as Ты Любовь the story. But Ты might get a better understanding of the story and get to read somethings that wasn't in the Фильмы if Ты read the books.
