It isn't clear that she actually did that. It's a matter of interpretation. What Ginny says about Hermione's advice could also mean that she actually did move on.

She broke up with Michael because he was being a real bad loser over Gryffindor having beat Ravenclaw. It wasn't "tired of him". And both relationships lasted months.

In regards to the actual question, if it's "actual book Ginny" shouldn't it also be "actual book Luna"?

^Oh well isn't Luna portrayed well in the movies? I mean Ginny is one of the characters that was drastically changed from book to movie , while JK Rowling said Evanna Lynch was Luna , so movie and book Luna are the same ...while Ginny's badass side wasn't shown in the movie...

In character she's similar, but Evanna looks a bit different to book Luna. Prettier, I think. It's the opposite in a way.
