'Lestrange' could refer to Roger L'Estrange, a 17th-century English journalist who was very much against religious tolerance. Bellatrix also means 'beautiful' or 'warlike'. Jo, on her official site, quite vehemently reminds us that "Ginny" isn't from "Virginia" (which would indeed mean virgin/maiden) but "Ginevra" (Italian version of "juniper", as in the tree or berry). It's also a variant of "Guinevere" meaning "fair one". Nitpicking, nitpicking. But I think the more accurate meanings of Ginny's name fit her far better. posted Больше года.
