I didn't care much about him as a character. And this doesn't count as a spoiler aholic. The book and film have been out for a very long time now, so people should know this by now.

Not in the book, he wasn't that important and I didn't really care (yes, I am a horrible person). But I cried a lot when I saw the movie. x)

The second time I read it I cried. And in the movie, when his dad rushes onto the field... gets me every time.

It happened so fast and it looked like something Voldemort and his deatheaters do everyday. And it was, too. I didn't get the chance to respond beore it all was over and he was just lying there on the ground.. But I always get tears in my eyes when they return, and Cedrics dad is all "my booy!". But I've never cried. But never say never ;)
