It was meant to be that way.. I think.
But yeah, I think the casting directors picked Bonnie Wright maybe because she was so similar in looks to Geraldine Somerville, who plays Lily Potter..
I think that Harry and Ginny's relationship was meant to be an analogy to Harry's own parents.
