Was Hermione made to be overly perfect in the movies?

In a way, yes. They did make her appearance overly perfect, dropping the bushy hair after a few films, and they never bothered to give her the buck teeth she's described as having in the books. But they didn't exaggerate her intelligence - she's that way in the Книги as well. And they didn't really omit some of her character flaws, such as being a bit of a know-it-all and sometimes being narrow minded.
