“I’m not atoning. I’m just trying to do good work.” —Carrie Mathison
Over four seasons, Homeland’s major players have always told themselves they were doing “good work,” despite the trail of bodies left in their wake from D.C. to Islamabad. And the drama, for better или worse, has done the same for its protagonist, careening (Carrie-ning?) between untenable highs and ludicrous lows, all in the service of the morally...
Carrie is released and meets with a mysterious client, while Dana runs away with Leo By Shirley Li at EW
Well, well, well... aren't Ты just the cleverest show, Homeland? I'm slow-clapping for Ты in my mind.
Last week's episode was certainly a doozy with the Brody-centric plot that prompted countless "How to fix Homeland"/"What's wrong with Homeland"/"Why Homeland sucks" think-pieces on the Internet, but tonight's час did one better on the...
Carrie breaks down over Saul's betrayal, while Saul tries to follow the money trail behind the Langley bombing By Shirley Li @ EW.com
After Saul threw Carrie under the bus last week, I figured there'd be no way Carrie would let him get away with it this week. I could just see it -- Carrie banging down Saul's front door, confronting him, tears streaming down her cryface, insisting he take her side -- because a showdown between the...
Carrie returns with the CIA under investigation, while Saul struggles to run the agency By Shirley Li @ EW
Welcome back, Homeland, and welcome back, recap readers. If you’re completely new to Carrie and Co., stop what you’re doing and catch up. (Here’s a handy binge-watching guide to help Ты out.) But if you’re a veteran, well, turn up that jazz music, tear your eyes away from that surveillance feed (sorry, Virgil) and read on for your first recap of the...
Carrie's fateful choice about Brody sets the stage for season 3, and whether you'll want to keep watching the show By Adam B. Vary @EW.com
Did he do it?
That is the Вопрос Homeland has left us with at the end of its revolutionary and controversial секунда season, the Вопрос its writers hope will fuel countless debates that will carry us until Далее fall. On the one hand, we have Nicholas Brody's word to Carrie that he had nothing to do with the...
Carrie's hunt for Abu Nazir hits a series of dead-ends, and Jessica and Brody's marriage reaches a milestone By Adam B. Vary at EW
The hunt for Abu Nazir, the mission that has consumed Carrie Mathison and hung over Homeland for two seasons, is over. Ding dong, the terrorist mastermind is dead. And so is the Brody marriage, as the very last thread binding Jessica and Nicholas Brody together — the prospect of a Walden/Brody presidential ticket and a life in the political spotlight...
After Carrie goes missing, both she and Brody find themselves face-to-face with their greatest enemies By Adam B. Vary at EW
And we're off to the races! Abu Nazir kidnapped Carrie, let her go, and remains at large in the United States. Brody effectively murdered the vice president. Saul dug too deep in his investigation of Peter Quinn. Jessica is so over her husband. Dana is a shell of a human being. Chris suddenly realized his dad's a jerk. Carrie really needs a shower. And, Эй,
guys, Danny Galvez is back!
Brody launches a major CIA operation, the Peter Quinn mystery deepens, and a new power player emerges. By Adam B. Vary at EW.com
Did we just get a glimpse of Homeland's future? Right as the season 2 end game turned a definitive corner, we briefly met a brand new character whose storytelling reach could easily extend far beyond whatever explosive finish Nicholas Brody appears to be taking the Показать this season. Sure, Peter Quinn's mysterious CIA minder/contact/svengali — who...
Just started watching Homeland last weekend, what an amazing show. Totally upsetting to see Brody is gone. He made Homeland so exciting. Brody should miraculously be brought back at the end of the shows finale. There was no closure with his family, what an awful storyline re: Dana, that was just a bunch of filler. Reunite Brody with with Carrie, his daughter and his family. They were put through the wringer and then a drive by later on, shows their house boarded up. Too many loose ends.
